The Bionicle / Hero Factory type figures from the Super Heroes range do not stir up passions, to say the least. The 4530 set is no exception to the rule and NorbyZERO has set about making some good changes to give it a massive and imposing appearance that better matches the character.
So no more frail legs, blue shorts and gray shoulder pads. Here we come back to the basics: The body is green, the pants purple. The whole thing gains in density and the Hulk finally looks like the disproportionate and over-inflated green guy we know. NorbyZERO succeeds in the bet, however not necessarily won in advance, to make me appreciate this modified figurine by giving it the appearance it would have deserved from the start ....

Do you have a degree from a business school or something like that? You speak English ? So try to get a permanent job at LEGO France by applying for the position of sector manager currently offered in the South West region.
It's not a designer job swimming in brick crates and drinking coffee in Billund before going to a game of pinball, but it's still a point of entry into LEGO while waiting for something better.
The job of promoting the brand's products and selling them to different brands, I guarantee you that you will have no problems achieving your goals, at least less than if you offered industrial vacuum cleaners at € 30.000 each or risky investments in Irish pension funds ...
If adventure tempts you, go to forstaff.com, the detailed announcement is published there: LEGO France - Head of Sector Bordeaux M / F. For other job offers at LEGO, it's on jobs.lego.com that it happens.
GRogall unearths an interesting web address: LEGOmen.de... No, this is not a novelty as I have read in various places, but it is indeed a marketing initiative of the manufacturer which already dates back to 2010 and which aimed to target male customers adult brand by promoting, among other things, sets from the Technic range or UCS sets.
The site dedicated to this promotional campaign is in German, and benefits from a modern and efficient layout. The masculine, organized, serious and adult side emerges from the overall presentation. It is always kept up to date because there are relatively recent sets (2011) such as the Mercedes-Benz Unimog U 400 (8110), the Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (10220) or Millennium Falcon (7965).
At the time, LEGO also published advertising pages presenting set 8043 in several lifestyle magazines aimed at an exclusively adult and male readership and a Dutch high-end costume seller even offered Technic sets to his customers and ensured them promotion in its window.
In any case, this is once again proof that LEGO cares about its adult customers and knows how to sectorize its communication actions by not hesitating to target specific audiences from time to time, as is currently the case with girls. (Friends range with dedicated micro-site).
Take a walk on LEGOmen.de, you will see, one almost has the impression of being elsewhere than on the usual supports declined by the manufacturer. The seriousness of the matter inevitably makes one think of these plethora of micro-sites intended to promote razor or after-shave brands for young adults who are sporty and feel good about themselves ...
Not content to offer us the ultimate Tumbler with the MOC which I was still talking to you recently, Calin alias CAB & Tiler (see his flickr gallery) reduces the format and goes to the micro scale with this MOC presented as part of the competition organized by LUGNuts: LEGO Set Overhaulin '(54th Build Challenge).
The idea is to reproduce a vehicle from an existing set by reinterpreting it with a personal touch, by changing the scale up or down, etc ... Calin therefore tackled the set. 7888 The Tumbler: Joker's Ice Cream Surprise released in 2008 and he offers us a version that according to his own words, fits in the pocket ... The result is interesting, we find the spirit of the original set but in a miniature version ...
The Tumbler is excellent, the shapes are faithful to its big brother and we immediately recognize Batman's favorite vehicle. Calin even offers a variant of it in a camouflage version equipped with a rocket launcher on the roof like the one we will see in the next film in The Dark Knight trilogy (image below).
If you follow Hoth Bricks, you know that I rarely resist MOCs replicating the Rancor. The beast is still awaiting its incarnation in the official version and many MOCeurs regularly go to their heart's content to fill this gap.
It's Daiman Mardon's turn to come up with his version, with a lot of imagination and great finds, especially with the textures of the arms made from the 4x4 wedges in Reddish Brown of the dragon in the set. ninjago 2509... MOCeur explains that the legs are designed exclusively with bricks due to the weight they must support and that this model is primarily intended for exhibition, rather than for play. Special mention for the face which is particularly expressive and leaves no doubt as to the aggressiveness of the beast.
To see more while waiting for LEGO to offer us something, it's on the flickr gallery of Daiman Mardon that it happens.
