Rod Gillies aka 2 Much Caffeine is not unknown to you if you have a little memory and you read what I write here (and I humbly thank you ...). It was he who offered us a Micro MOC of the Echo Base on Hoth very successful a few months ago.
He does it again with this still microscopic reconstruction of the Boonta Eve Classic pod race on Tatooine. Tan galore, a pretty well-tiled tray, ingenious bleachers and original podracers made from blue and orange droid torsos, this is the recipe for this clean and efficient MOC.
Note that this MOC was designed for a competition (Iron Builder / see the group Builders Lounge on flickr).
Jay Frankett alias jaypercent loves super heroes ... And he puts all his creativity at the service of the design of minifigs representing heroes not always very well known to the lambda geek but that true comic book fans will appreciate ...
He brews his stock of parts, torsos, legs and hair to put characters together, trying to get the result as close as possible to their incarnation on paper. A glance is often enough to recognize these super heroes and say to yourself: But yes, that's exactly it...
I had already posted his Professor X in a gust of wind on Facebook, but it deserved a little spotlight on Brick Heroes. As he quite rightly says: It's so cool that with a little creativity you can easily expand on which Marvel characters can exist. I hope my creations show that!
Take a few minutes to go for a walk on his flickr gallery, you will not be disappointed with your visit.
You who follow this blog, you know my aversion to photos of Stormtroopers. These minifigs are staged in every way and not always with the best inspiration for that matter ... But today, I make an exception to this rule of the good old grumbler that I am with the work of designholic *.
First of all, it's nicely done. It's clean, creative and it's not all Stormtroopers. And besides, I just learned that it is a woman, a girl, a chick what, who produces these pictures. And it always enchants me to see the fairer sex playing LEGO ...
This is once again proof that no, LEGOs aren't just for boys, it's also for girls. Obviously, you already know some of these pictures that have been around the web, but you will look at them differently knowing that a woman is holding the device ...
So, not a minute to waste, run on the flickr gallery of the young lady, or on his tumblr besides ....
PS: the photo that illustrates this post has nothing to do with Star Wars, but Green Lantern being one of my favorite minifigs at the moment, I had to post this image anyway. For Stormtroopers, you have to go to the two links above ...
PS2: If there are girls among the readers of this blog, show up in the comments. I'm curious to see if this type of content attracts anything other than the good old (or young) KFOLs, TFOls or AFOLs or thing-FOLs that we are.
Okay, those who follow me on Facebook already know it: I decided to put into play 3 bags of the exclusive TC-14 minifigure. The raffle draw will take place among fans on the Hoth Bricks page as of 30/04/2012.
As you can imagine, if I had had 400 on hand, I would have offered one to each of you, loyal readers. But that's not the case in this cruel world and I'm going to have to bring in luck through the left hand of my 3 year old son and the right hand of my other 7 year old son ...
Regarding the big question ... These bags do not come from LEGO, or from any generous sponsor ... I have some nice contacts which enabled me to obtain these 3 bags for you. It's not a revolution, but at the moment we still don't know if the promo will take place with us (I still think so) and I thought to myself that you would appreciate being able to get this minifigure without spending a lot of money. money on the LEGO Shop, coerced and forced.
So don't wait any longer, become a fan of the Hoth Bricks page, and participate in this raffle. And I repeat, I would have liked to have more, but it was mission impossible.
I had already seen this email go through last week, but I have just received it again, no doubt to be sure not to miss the exceptional offer that LEGO is currently offering us.
Judge for yourself: All you have to do is spend the modest sum of 85 € on the LEGO site to see you receive this magnificent red multifunctional bag that will accompany you on a daily basis (shopping, garbage cans, etc ...)
I am speechless in the face of so much generosity towards us, customers forgotten by marketing plans and excluded from the aggressive and ambitious commercial policy of the manufacturer.
With this reusable and above all FREE bag, we will have the feeling of having been pampered and rewarded, no doubt about it ...
So, don't wait any longer, go to the LEGO site to spend your money, the gift awaits you. As for me, I pass on this one, I have already received the same one in green offered by Here ....
