7965 millennium falconLEGO or the art of knowing how to take advantageous photos of its products. Decidedly this Falcon is ordinary despite the efforts to make it presentable. What are these touches of Tan and Dark Red doing on the ship?

The front empenage seems very empty and fragile, and the finish leaves something to be desired: Even the antenna located on the front left would have deserved an additional dish.

The minifigs are given a makeover, pupils and hairstyles brought up to date. Leia has a new hairstyle, Luke has a new double-sided head and a new hairstyle and Han Solo has a new print on the legs.

Not enough to whip a cat.

Obi-Wan seems to have a new face.
Note the presence for Luke of a helmet and the training module.

The Falcon is equipped with missiles under the hull (?) And there again the finish is more than summary.

Regarding the playability, nothing very exciting, you have to open the upper panels one by one to access the interior space with the basic layout.
Watch the video below to see the Falcon from all angles.

Finally, below is a view of the 4504 model released in 2004, for comparison:

This is neither LEGO nor Star Wars and yet Hasbro, a serious and reputable manufacturer has just launched its KRE-O range on the Transformers theme, and announces some rather nice new products.

In addition, the manufacturer announces full compatibility with LEGO parts, which is unusual for a major player in the toy market, if we exclude MegaBlocks (and we gladly exclude them)
The different models presented are remarkably well designed, like this Bumblebee (Photo left) and do not shame the principle of the building brick ....
However, minifigs are really awful, LEGO can rest easy on this land ......

march2011The American LEGO Store Calendar for March 2011 is online and it brings us some interesting information, judge instead:
We see two new Star Wars keychains, Cad Bane Keychain (853116) & Boba Fett Keychain (853127) and above all a new series of 3 magnets with Anakin Skywalker, Talz and a Clone Pilot (853130).
The new Boba Fett is beautiful as far as we can judge from this image ...
As for the magnets, they will certainly be stuck and it will be necessary to use trickery to take off the base without destroying the minifigs.
Search this blog, I told you about it before and gave you a link to some solutions to this problem.
We also learn that the release of the LEGO Star Wars: The Clone Wars III game is scheduled for March 22, 2011.

11/02/2011 - 16:19 Minifigure Series
4series 2By dint of looking for information on the series 5, we would almost forget that the series 4 of collectable minifigures (Collectable Minifigures of their real name) must point the tip of his nose by the month of April.
The big unknown remains the identification system of the contents of the bag, the barcode having been abandoned since the series 2 in favor of small discreet marks on the series 3, which have since also been withdrawn.
There remains the possibility of guessing the contents by "feeling" the sachet, or of buying a complete box of 60 sachets, to be sure of having at least 2 complete series.

In short, we do not know much, and you can console yourself with these two visuals that appeared today in the dedicated topic on Eurobrick.
