80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech

Today we take a quick look at the LEGO Monkie Kid set 80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech, a large box of 1629 pieces sold for 129.99 € which proposes to assemble a robot about forty centimeters high accompanied by some additional elements which suggest many playful possibilities.

During the official announcement of the Monkie Kid range, LEGO sold us this set as the one that includes the most parts in Metallic Gold To date, it remains for us to verify whether this statement does not hide some gaps that could tarnish the picture.

Before tackling the construction of the big robot with a monkey head, we assemble the various additional elements provided. Nothing very complicated here, the end of the lane, the hill with the support of the stick, the floating cloud of the Monkey King and the little robot from the bad clones are quickly assembled with in the process the installation of half of the large plank of stickers provided.

Those who enjoyed the sets 70620 Ninjago City et 70657 Ninjago City Docks inspired by the movie The LEGO Ninjago Movie will appreciate to find here a set including a shop and a house a little in the same spirit, with signs, an arcade machine, neon lights, and a multitude of details that promote immersion in the atmosphere of the set. The building is also an important point of reference to give presence to the mech.

80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech

The context being set, we then move on to the assembly of the big robot. As soon as the central trunk is assembled, which also serves as a cockpit, we understand that the mobility of this mech will be limited. The shoulders are made of moving parts but the robot's waist and hips are fixed. By connecting the upper part of the legs, however, we can guess that it must be possible to move each leg slightly backwards or forwards.

By assembling the rest of the robot's two legs, we begin to imagine the improbable: knees! Indeed, there is a Ball joint at the knee, but we quickly become disillusioned when we notice that the calf is attached to the back of the thigh via two additional small kneecaps, thus preventing any flexion of the leg. Still missed, this is not the time that we will have a mech with really articulated legs. The good news: the mech is really very stable on its feet, both equipped with a central tire that helps prevent unwanted slips even on the smoothest surfaces.

In terms of joints, it's a little better at the level of the arms with a three-part structure that allows some movement, even if we quickly realize that the mech is in fact only thought to hold his giant stick with a very limited range of motion. Note that the stick can be "transformed" into a shorter version that fits in one hand. In both situations, the stick is attached to the palm of the hand (or both hands) via two ball joints.

80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech

Quickly, it becomes complicated to manipulate the construction in progress because of the decorative sub-assemblies that only fit on a clip or two, like the gold pieces that hide the shoulder joints or the fingers that come loose regularly. It's a shame for a toy intended for children and it does not get better afterwards.

The "naked" mech clearly lacks finish and it is not the hundred or so golden pieces that save the furniture. The back of the robot has obviously not benefited from the same attention from the designers as the front side but it is not so serious since it is necessary to attach a large piece of red fabric to it which covers the whole thing. . Even if the drape effect is not uninteresting, the felt used is in my opinion too fine to give hope for a reasonable lifespan. In the end, it seems to me that we are more in a “hide-and-seek” solution based on a consumable product than in a purely creative choice.

Finally, we must add seven decorative elements in flexible plastic which in principle should give this mech its final appearance. The four flags which take place behind the head only fit on a clip and also have an unfortunate tendency to fall off at the slightest manipulation. On the other hand, the three inserts which are fixed around the waist of the mech really help to give a nice visual coherence to the construction.

The building experience is not unpleasant, especially at the beginning of the assembly phase, although one does not escape the sub-assemblies to be built in two copies when it comes to taking care of the members of the robot. The youngest will get by without problem, the most difficult will remain to manipulate the robot while wanting to play with it.

80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech

80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech

Difficult to objectively judge the aesthetic aspect of the mech, tastes and colors cannot be discussed, but I think you really have to wait until you have finished assembling the thing to get a precise opinion. As far as I'm concerned, I find it visually a little too colorful to convince me. The gray joints are too visible and the red, yellow mixture, Pearl Gold et Metallic Gold is a bit too messy for my taste.

The addition of the three flexible plastic elements around the waist of the mech completes depriving the construction of the little mobility it had so far: they hinder a little the few possible movements of the robot and will be quickly bent and marked. This detail convinces me that this product is not a toy for children aged 10 or over. It is just a demonstration of the know-how of the LEGO designers which turns into a pure exhibition product far too static and too fragile to really have fun with.

80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech

There are also some minifigs in this box: two clones with identical torsos but one of which is decked out with arms and pink horns, the monkey king, delivered here in a different version from the one present in one of the sachets from the 19th series of collectible minifigs (ref. 71025), with its staff equipped with the new handles also available in gray on the knees of the mech, the young Jia (the boy) and An (the girl) and the inevitable Monkie Kid in person with his headphones around his neck, his smartphone and his hyper-detailed legs with a slightly less successful finish than on the official visuals.

For those who are wondering, Jia's Hawaiian shirt is not new, it was already present since 2010 in several sets of the LEGO Education range and more recently in the LEGO CITY sets. 60202 People Pack: Outdoor Adventures and Juniors 10764 Central Airport. An's torso is also a very common piece, especially seen in sets 10247 Ferris Wheel, 60200 Capital City or even 10261 Roller Coaster.

80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech

In the end, this set had it all on paper with a balanced content between the giant mech, the main hero of the range and the animated series that goes with it, the Monkey King himself, a pair of villains, two civilians and small additional modules.

Unfortunately, the robot is aesthetically very correct but it is not what it claims to be when it comes to playability and it will have to be content to expose it on the corner of a shelf after spending too much time putting it back in place. everything that comes off when playing with. At 130 € a box, in my opinion, it's too expensive to pay for such a fragile construction, with a somewhat sloppy finish in places and frankly limited mobility.

LEGO Fairground Collection 10273 Haunted House

As promised, today we quickly tour the LEGO Fairground Collection set 10273 Haunted Houses (3231 pieces - 229.99 €), a box which proposes to assemble not a "really" haunted house but rather a free fall attraction staged in an old building populated by Cast Members disguised.

You noticed, the set comes in a nice box stamped 18+ which clearly places this product in the department of toys for adult fans while the defunct LEGO Creator Expert range was much more timid on this point.

The fact remains that this mansion, despite an obvious exhibition product potential, is above all a playset with a fun functionality that it will be necessary to know how to make accessible to the youngest. The latter will undoubtedly not seize all the references to sets marketed in the years 90/2000 scattered in the various rooms of the manor, but there is no reason to deprive them of manipulating the elevator installed in the central tower.

LEGO Fairground Collection 10273 Haunted House

Many adult fans have settled on the title of the set a little too quickly and put aside its true identity. This is not a reinterpretation of the building from the set 10228 Haunted Houses marketed in 2012 in the Monster Fighters range, it is a fairground merry-go-round or rather an amusement park. If you take the product for what it really is, then there's no reason for adult fans to complain that they didn't get the toy they wanted ...

In the manner of Modulars, the construction is not just a simple facade even if the back of the mansion is sparsely dressed and encumbered by the elevator mechanism. So we get a real building and not as often a movie set. Best of all, this resealable playset will not overwhelm your shelves with an occupied area of only 26 x 26 cm. In height, that's another story: the construction is 69 cm high.

As for the buildings of the universe Structure, we alternate here between repetitive sequences of stacking bricks for the walls and assembly of the various elements of the furniture with slightly more elaborate techniques. The breakdown of the assembly phases is well enough thought out that the whole process is entertaining and rewarding. The 3000 pieces are there, they are in the cornices, the furniture or the finishes. And the chain made up of 148 elements. There are very few plates in this box: four 16x16 for the floor of the manor and some roof sections.

LEGO Fairground Collection 10273 Haunted House

The finish of the mansion is generally satisfactory, I just regret that the roofs are a little neglected. These black plates would in my opinion deserved to be covered with tiles to give them a little more thickness and to match the top of the model. The floor of the various rooms on the ground floor could also have benefited from a slightly more elaborate covering, for example with tiling. The interior of the mansion is, as usual at LEGO, chock-full of furniture and other small decorative constructions which greatly contribute to the pleasure of assembly.

Even the smallest space is full but it's not a problem, it's an attraction and not a "really" haunted house. The rear of the mansion is a bit messier with the mechanism that allows you to take advantage of the integrated elevator and the long chain that runs along the wall. Two trees would have been enough to hide the block of the mechanism a little, but we will do with what LEGO offers us.

The set definitively establishes its adult positioning thanks to the many more or less obvious references piled up in the different rooms of the manor: one can see there the choice of supported winks for nostalgic fans with encyclopedic memory or the desire of designers to make pleasure to themselves. Each artefact in Samuel Von Barron's collection is even the subject of a small insert in the pages of the instruction booklet.

LEGO Fairground Collection 10273 Haunted House

LEGO Fairground Collection 10273 Haunted House

What I remember above all here is the integration of this new product in the continuity of the LEGO history with a certain coherence between different ranges and universes which had a priori nothing to share. To each his relationship with the LEGOs of his childhood: pirate ship or Egyptian pyramids, we do not all have the same memories and LEGO serves a little for everyone with here more or less obvious references to the Adventurers, Orient Expedition ranges. , Alpha Team, Fright Knights and even the recent Hidden Side line.

The theme of the old mansion full of fan service and accompanied by some ghosts has also somewhat eclipsed the main functionality of the product: the attraction of free fall. However, there is a nice job of integrating this function on the part of the designers with a cabin which is correctly slowed down by the transfer of kinetic energy to the two large wheels placed at the rear and a fall perfectly damped by four parts in rubber placed at the four corners of the column.

Visitors take their seats in a car that simply clips into the elevator shaft. Convenient to set up the minifigs without having to go a little blind. The cabin can be stopped in front of the intermediate window for the souvenir photo, the device is hidden under the roof. It is in the spirit of attractions like the tower of terror of Disneyland.

The other feature of the set is the painting with Samuel Von Barron who is hit by Pharaoh Hotep's curse via the supplied red light brick. The effect is striking in the dark and the superposition of the two pad-printed windows works perfectly. To activate the light brick, just press on the attraction sign (see photo above).

LEGO Fairground Collection 10273 Haunted House

As often with LEGO, the attraction is to be set in motion manually if you do not want to go back to the cash register to acquire the optional motorization elements. The integration of Smart Hub (88009 - €49.99) Powered-UP and both M engines (88008 - 17.99 €) necessary is quickly documented in the instruction booklet. I tried using the two small motors (45303 - € 12.99) provided in the LEGO DC Comics set 76112 App-Controlled Batmobile, they are not recognized.

It's up to you to see if your future use of this model justifies investing a few dozen euros more, as far as I'm concerned, I think that a product released in 2020 that offers this type of functionality should be delivered with these elements. optional, or LEGO should at least offer a bundle at a preferential price for those who do not wish to reel for a little fun.

Note that the application Powered-UP, essential for controlling the Smart Hub and the two motors, has been updated and offers some sound sequences that allow a real immersion in the atmosphere of the attraction while covering a little the noise of the mechanism.

LEGO Fairground Collection 10273 Haunted House

The assortment of minifigs included in the box makes it possible to stage the attraction with its disguised employees and visitors, but that's minimum service with two twins, two guys dressed as ghosts and a handful of visitors.

I would have gladly exchanged one of the visitors for a minifig of Baron Von Barron, possibly in the form of a statue, in order to strengthen the link between this product and the owner of the premises. The instructions do not confirm that the skeleton is that of Sam Sinister, implying that it could in fact be a third member of the siblings taking care of the premises.

The two ghost-disguised guys are of little interest in their basic costumes, but again, this mansion being an attraction, there was no reason to provide "real" LEGO ghosts like you see in other ranges. .

LEGO Fairground Collection 10273 Haunted House

Note the presence of Junkbot, a small robot stored in a box under the roof, seen in a video game offered by LEGO in 2001 and which has since also made an appearance in the Ninjago universe via a sticker in the set 70657 Ninjago City Docks. It's all connected.

In short, this set has everything to please if you do not expect anything other than what it really has to offer. The addition in the instruction booklet of some explanations about the many Easter Eggs present in Samuel Von Barron's mansion is a real plus which energizes the assembly phase and which will perhaps push some fans to take an interest in the ranges of the 2000s in question here.

The attraction is functional, it is technically very successful, it becomes even more immersive via the unfortunately optional motorization, there are no stickers to stick and the set achieves its goal, at least as far as I'm concerned. So there is no reason not to fall for this haunted house which is not really one. For those who expected something else, all modifications are allowed.

11/05/2020 - 23:10 In my opinion... Reviews

75551 Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair

We change the register a bit and today we are quickly interested in the LEGO set 75551 Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair (876 pieces - 49.99 €), a product derived from a film that will not be released in theaters on the scheduled date (July 2020) that LEGO has chosen to market despite everything.

Only two of the five boxes initially announced to accompany the release of the animated film The Rise of Gru are currently available, this one and the reference 75549 Unstoppable Bike Chase. The other three planned sets will probably have to wait for the film's release to be postponed to July 2021.

Even though the license Minions is not your cup of tea, I think that this box deserves all the same that one is interested in its contents: It is not in my opinion a banal derivative product without great interest and one finds there a great example of what it is possible to do with LEGO bricks by not just lazily relying on the relevant license.

Here, there is really something to build and we put together two big figures who are little more than angular reproductions of the little yellow creatures that we love or hate. The real plus of this product: each of these two maxi-figures, which can also be exhibited as is, opens to reveal a furnished and playable space. By discovering the different interior arrangements, we are tempted to forgive the few aesthetic approximations in the external appearance of the characters.

75551 Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair

Each of the interior spaces, accessible by opening the body of the Minion from the back of the figure, is full of details, references and accessories that fans will surely appreciate. It is detailed, well organized and the youngest will undoubtedly find something to have a little fun there. LEGO didn't forget to provide buildable mini-figures of the three characters to make the interior spaces a little more interactive.

There is a large batch of stickers in this box, but the outer parts of the maxi-figures like the mouth and eyes are pad printed. Since the stickers are relegated inside the body of the figures, they should age a little better than when constantly exposed to light, heat and dust.

There are indeed not two, but three characters to assemble in this box. The process is as old as the world and it is used here: you will have to dismantle one of the first two characters to assemble the third. By default, the instruction booklet suggests assembling Stuart (the one with one eye) and Kevin (the big one). It is with some of the parts used for the maxi-figurine of Kevin, completed by a set of additional parts, that it is possible to assemble Bob, the Minion with the dark eyes.

75551 Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair

75551 Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair

The basic structure of these maxi-figurines is almost identical from one model to another, the variations being at the level of the interior fittings and the mechanism which is used to turn the eyes. For Stuart, the wheel rotates the character's only eye. With Kevin and Bob, two offset gears ensure the synchronized rotation of the two eyes.

Too bad it is only possible to turn the eyes of the different characters when the figurines are open, the mechanism is in fact only accessible from the inside and that was probably the price to pay in order not to disfigure the figure. back of these maxi-figures.

We could discuss the solution used by the designers for the hands of the two maxi-figurines. The three-fingered hands might be a bit coarse, but these black piece assemblies offer real mobility to the characters. The arms can also be oriented as you see fit and this is a nice detail that will allow for relatively dynamic poses if you just want to display these maxi-figures on the corner of a desk or on a shelf.

75551 Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair

As I said above, it is therefore not possible to build the three characters at the same time with the inventory of the set, except to invest in two boxes and to agree to end up with a very large handful of parts on the arms.

Those who want to maximize the use of the inventory provided will choose to keep Kevin (the big one). Bob fans will have to resolve to put the pile of coins visible in the photo above in the box. Even though LEGO encourages us to completely disassemble Kevin to build Bob, it is possible to keep many sub-elements of the first to assemble the second, as long as you are careful during the dismantling.

75551 Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair

The outfits of the three figures provided in this box match the theme of each interior design: Bob is ready for his ninja training, Stuart is in his pajamas in his room and Kevin is dressed in his iconic overalls. The pad prints are very correct and compensate a little for the look "Kinder Surprise"of these figurines.

Some will see it as an interpretation of the characters that deviates a little too much from the usual minifig format while others will find it difficult to do otherwise to obtain believable versions of the Minions. It's up to everyone to see where they place the cursor. For my part, I find that these three Minions are the result of a good compromise between the LEGO DNA, its pieces to assemble and its studs and the need to adapt to offer credible versions of the characters.

75551 Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair

In short, I think that if you only have to buy one product among the five planned for the release of the film The Rise of Gru, It's This one. This variation of the Minions license really takes advantage of the possibilities offered by the LEGO concept where the rest of the range is content to offer a few minimalist playsets that I find uninspired and also promises us two future BrickHeadz references which should not do much better in external appearance matter ...

These two maxi-figurines can be exhibited, they offer a minimum of interactivity and, if we forget the need to disassemble one of the two characters to build the third, we obtain here a product that seems to me sufficiently accomplished to really please both a LEGO fan and a Minions license enthusiast.

Note: The product shown here, supplied by LEGO, is as usual in play. Deadline fixed at 20th May 2020 next at 23pm.

75275 UCS A-Wing Starfighter

As promised, today I quickly give you some personal impressions of the LEGO Star Wars set 75275 A-Wing Starfighter (1673 pieces), a box sold at the public price of 199.99 € since May 1st and which integrates the prestigious range Ultimate Collector Series. There is also no question here of "spoiling" the whole assembly process by carrying out an inventory à la Prévert without much interest, others will do that better than me.

Since this is a high-end product intended for a discerning public of collectors, we therefore expect to be able to assemble a successful model with every detail thought out to offer a construction experience and exhibition pleasure. flawless.

And as soon as the box is opened, we unfortunately understand that a "technical" detail will spoil all that: the canopy of the cockpit is not pad printed and it will be necessary to apply three stickers to give it its final appearance. Many fans will be tempted not to take the risk of sticking these three stickers (badly), but the result is visually very poor. With a little patience and using the bottom edge of the room to align the two side stickers, this can be done quite easily. Then all you have to do is aim well so that the two ends of the sticker that goes over the canopy are aligned with the growths visible on the sides.

75275 UCS A-Wing Starfighter

Those accustomed to this type of exercise know, however, that these stickers are often difficult to apply correctly, that there is no "second chance" and that these stickers will eventually dry out and peel off under the water. effect of heat, light and dust. Small compensation, the canopy is packaged separately which allows us to obtain a piece in perfect condition, without the scratches too often encountered on transparent pieces.

Overall, the construction of this vessel is fortunately very pleasant, the techniques used are varied, each sub-assembly finds its place perfectly on the central frame and apart during the few repetitive steps and the installation phases. stickers, I must admit that I had fun putting together this model of the A-Wing.

This set is also a good example of the complementarity between the elements of the Technic universe, here at the service of the rigidity of the model, and the classic bricks: We start the assembly with an internal structure based on a solid frame made of beams Technic and we integrate in passing the mechanism that will tilt the side barrels. At this stage, the elements in Dark Red which constitute the "floor" and therefore the lower surface of the vessel and it is easy to understand that the designer ignored the landing gear.

75275 UCS A-Wing Starfighter

The pilot's seat, with its ingots that embody the seat and back cushions, is assembled from the first pages of the instruction booklet and it slips into the heart of the internal structure onto which the various sub-assemblies which constitute the cabin. The handle has no function, it is not connected to the mechanism which allows to orient the side barrels. This modular construction will also facilitate the partial disassembly of the model for a thorough cleaning after several months of exposure or temporary storage.

The two elements which make up the nose of the device and meet at the front are then put in place and the first color differences between the parts and the stickers appear: the two small stickers placed at the front are a slightly darker than the parts to be applied.

More serious, the parts in Dark Red are not all exactly the same shade. This discrepancy is not as disturbing as on white parts, which are also affected by these color differences, but one comes to wonder how a manufacturer whose job it is still cannot solve this problem.

The side modules that ensure the transition between the body and the front of the ship seem rather successful to me despite the residual space in the front between each of these blocks of parts and the white borders of the nose of the aircraft. The construction of these sub-assemblies is very ingenious and the result is in my opinion rather convincing visually with a very rounded external surface. The three white pieces with the gray squares, visible in the photo below, are pad printed.

75275 UCS A-Wing Starfighter

The external surface of the reactors, based on half-cylinders Dark Red, receives a huge sticker which only brings a few black lines. Should we imagine such large stickers for these few lines? I'm not sure. The reactors also use a part that fans of the LEGO Star Wars range are familiar with since the large white cart wheel used here in quadruplicate appeared already in 2017 in the set. 75191 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive.

The two side guns consist of rims, lightsaber handles and various parts threaded on a Technic axis and they are connected through the cabin to the mechanism that allows them to be oriented. The functionality is anecdotal but it has the merit of allowing a more dynamic scenario.

The essential presentation support is here as often slightly inclined for a presentation which especially highlights the upper surface of the vessel. There isn't much to see under the plane anyway, it's smooth but it's also minimum service: no retractable landing gear. The vessel is not integral with the base, it is simply plugged into the upper end of the display.

You already know if you are an observer, the information provided on the small presentation plate is a little approximate: it is missing in particular one (s) in the name of the manufacturer Kuat System (s) Engineering and there are two Dymek HM-6 missile launchers on this ship. These errors are not crude enough to annoy most fans, but they are indicative of a lack of precision on the part of the designers and the entire project validation chain, in particular by the holders of the license concerned.

75275 UCS A-Wing Starfighter

75275 UCS A-Wing Starfighter

As you can imagine, this ship is not on the scale of minifigs. For those who are skeptical or tempted to believe otherwise, I have put the provided figure in the pilot's seat for you. It is without appeal.

To enhance the presentation support, LEGO provides us in this box with a pilot considered "generic", but you can do like me and convince yourself that it is Arvel Crynyd. The minifig is a magnificent update of the version seen in 2013 in the set 75003 A-Wing Starfighter, the character's face is that of one of the rebel soldiers from the set 75241 Action Battle Echo Base Defense, and regulars of the LEGO Marvel range will have recognized the face of Peter Parker or that of Scott Lang (Ant-Man). The pad printing of the torso and legs is successful and the helmet is magnificent with its metallic areas on the sides.

In short, this version Ultimate Collector Series of a vessel which a priori did not necessarily have the stature to integrate this range of models more detailed than the models of the "classic" range is in my opinion overall very convincing. Too bad the construction experience, which is moreover very pleasant, is a little spoiled by the need to stick some stickers on the canopy specially designed for this box invoiced at 200 €.

If you have already ordered this box, I think you will not be disappointed by the challenge it offers and the end result. If you think an A-Wing does not have the same charisma as an X-Wing or the Millennium Falcon, you may be right, but you shouldn't regret ever having done the dead end on this set which should not be re-released for (very) long years.

Note: The product shown here, supplied by LEGO, is as usual in play. Deadline fixed at 18th May 2020 next at 23pm. the shipment of the prize to the winner will only take place when the sanitary situation allows it.

76162 Black Widow's Helicopter Chase

Today we are quickly interested in the content of the LEGO Marvel set 76162 Black Widow's Helicopter Chase, a box of 271 pieces sold at the public price of 29.99 € which is in principle inspired by the film Black Widow whose theatrical release, initially scheduled for April 29, 2020, has been postponed to next October.

So, we do not yet know if this product is really derived from the film or if it is a more or less approximate interpretation of one of the scenes that we will see on the screen.

I think LEGO has once again mixed everything up and that the packaging and contents of this box vaguely refer to one of the scenes seen in the trailer which must have been pitched very briefly to the designers: "... a helicopter, snow, the two heroines, the villain, and whatever you want around to entertain the children ...".

black widow movie snow helicopter scene 1

In the box, there is therefore something to assemble a Chinook helicopter, because two rotors are better even if the helicopter in the film is not of this model, which should bring back memories to fans of the LEGO CITY range which have acquired the set 60093 Deep Sea Helicopter marketed in 2015, a motorcycle, a mini-quad and three characters: Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff), Yelena Belova and Taskmaster (Anthony Masters).

If there is therefore in this box something to have fun for the youngest with three vehicles and three figures, the construction phase will undoubtedly leave the most demanding on their hunger. It is assembled very quickly and there is as often a very large handful of stickers to stick to dress the Taskmaster helicopter and Black Widow's motorcycle.

76162 Black Widow's Helicopter Chase

76162 Black Widow's Helicopter Chase

The helicopter with its black cabin and its weaponry based on Stud Shooters is quite successful and it offers enough interior space to store a few minifigs or the mini-quad. The latter can be housed in the helicopter by passing through the hatch located at the rear or by lifting the roof of the machine. The cockpit is accessible by removing the large canopy.

In addition to the helicopter, we also get two other vehicles including the essential Black Widow motorcycle with its two large side stickers and a mini-kart for Taskmaster.

Not sure if the latter is in the movie, but I found this LEGO version rather funny, we can even put Taskmaster and his loot, the brown chest in which we find two ingots and a diamond. Like micro-Mighty Micro, in fact.

76162 Black Widow's Helicopter Chase

As for the minifigs provided, it's a full box: They are all three unpublished and until proof to the contrary exclusive to this box even if Yelena Belova has the features of Hermione Granger or Pepper Pots and Natasha Romanoff has her usual face which is also that of Rachel Green, Padme Amidala, Jyn Erso or Vicki Vale.

The tampographs of the torso and legs of these two characters are impeccable and the outfits are faithful to those seen in various scenes of the film. Regarding the legs, we still have a bit of the impression that the pattern on the knees is cut too brutally.

76162 Black Widow's Helicopter Chase

The Taskmaster minifigure is also relatively faithful to what we have been able to discover of the character's outfit in the various trailers released so far. Too bad for the neutral legs, but the pad printing of the torso is perfect, from the front as from the back.

The hood here is completely black when it is actually rather colorful in the movie with white stripes and a red piping. The mask and the visor pad printed on the head of the minifigure seem to me to conform to the version seen on the screen.

In the character's hand, a protective Pearl Dark Gray already seen in various sets Marvel, Ghostbusters, Ninjago or Nexo Knights which serves as a handle for the shield or as a support for the blade provided.

In short, this product derived from a film not yet released sold for 29.99 € will undoubtedly not go down in the annals as an absolute reference in terms of creativity, but there is something to have a little fun and three nice minifigs to add our collections of Marvel characters.

We can regret the absence of Red Guardian, and knowing that there is little chance that LEGO will market a second product derived from the film, it is not this time that we will be entitled to a minifig version of this character.

Note: The set presented here, supplied by LEGO, is as usual in play. Deadline fixed at 12th May 2020 next at 23pm. The prize will be sent to the winner only when the health situation allows it.

Update : The winner was drawn and was notified by email, his nickname is indicated below. Without a response from him to my request for contact details within 5 days, a new winner will be drawn.
