LEGO Mario Kart - Mario and Standard Kart - Nintendo Character Collector Figure - Buildable Car Model for Video Game Fans - Gift
It is thanks to a brief posting of the game on the Playstation Store, undoubtedly by mistake, that we discover today a first official visual of the LEGO 2K video game Goooal!
The game sheet does not tell us much, it is given a temporary code name and it simply states that it will be possible to play online by subscribing to PS Plus and that the game will have purchases integrated. Nothing more for the moment, we will have to wait for an official announcement to find out more about the gameplay and the possibilities offered by this new game.
While waiting to be able to have fun with your controller in your hands, you can always train by buying the LEGO set 40634 Icons of Play (€99.99) or the LEGO IDEAS reference 21337 Soccer table (€249.99), two boxes that could possibly put you in the mood...
As for any bonuses offered with this new video game, we can reasonably count on the polybag 30629 Finnius Dash already on sale on a Czech marketplace and whose sachet confirms that it is indeed a product from the LEGO Games universe affiliated with the publisher 2K:
This is a korean certification body which confirms the rumor: the next LEGO video game will be on the theme of football and will be called LEGO 2K Goooal!. No official visuals or trailer or even less official announcement of this new game for the moment, we will have to wait a little longer to find out what this video game will be made of and what the possibilities will be.

I'm talking to you again today quickly about the LEGO 2K Drive video game, I played it for a few days and even if I ended up getting a little tired of the game's mechanics, I must admit that I still amused a bit. Solo, nothing very exciting, it's a classic arcade racing game as there are buckets of them, with its bonuses, its more or less difficult circuits and its secondary missions without much interest but which prolong the pleasure a little . If you like LEGO, you necessarily go through a short discovery phase of everything you can break or build in the game, even if it is above all a racing game.
The ability to create and customize vehicles is a plus but I'm not really sensitive to it even if the editor (the garage) is rather ergonomic and those used to the usual digital construction tools should at least spend a few hours there with a quite impressive inventory of parts available.
It is obviously not a car simulation in the literal sense of the term, with a piloting that seemed to me closer to that of a Mario Kart than that of a more demanding racing game and the technical characteristics of the different vehicles ultimately seem to me to have little impact on their performance or handling. In any case, not enough for me to remember noticing a glaring difference between two machines.
The play area is large enough not to get bored too quickly with several thematic biomes to explore, but it's the game mechanics that ended up boring me with frankly long and laborious progression in story mode. Moreover, it is not theOpen World hoped for by some even though the different biomes are big enough to get lost in and not feel like going in circles.
To accumulate experience points, there are only two possibilities: embark on the systematic execution of many more or less interesting secondary missions or participate in the same races in a loop. Same observation for the virtual "currency" of the game, the Brickflouzes, distributed sparingly to encourage the player to go and buy them with real euros via the integrated store. It's petty, knowing that those who have the patience to explore all the possibilities of the game will in my opinion be the youngest LEGO fans.
LEGO could have imposed the absence of micro-transactions in the specifications of the game, the manufacturer is often very attentive concerning the licensed video games regularly offered by different publishers and I have a little trouble understanding how he was able to allow this feature in a game aimed at a very young audience.
The most successful part of the game is in my opinion the possibility of playing two in split screen and this is where the fun is at its maximum thanks to the boosters and other weapons distributed on the road and which allow you to catch up at the last moment or at least to compensate for a driving error which caused a few places to be lost. The circuits are well designed, the behavior of the vehicles is very correct with good handling and a real feeling of speed. Like in Mario Kart, we start the game, we race and we move on.
So I won't try to finish the game and all the quests it contains, I don't have the patience or the time for that. On the other hand, playing it from time to time with the family seems to me a good solution. Although everyone around me prefers Mario Kart and the excuse of the LEGO universe with its usual little touches of humor will not be enough to distract them from their favorite arcade mode racing game.
Let's be honest, no matter how much buzz this video game gets in the small world of LEGO fans who see here a new opportunity to build contraptions and smash stuff while racing against AI-powered competitors, moreover a little weak, or against their friends locally or on the network, it does not revolutionize the genre and it will not mark the history of video games. It is far from being the best LEGO game ever marketed and it is above all a game that reuses the usual recipe of many other titles by integrating the specificities of the brand as best as possible. It's well done but anyone who already has Mario Kart or Crash Team Racing on their consoles will do without it.
If you want to test this game without delay, be satisfied with the basic edition sold for 50 € or 60 €, nothing justifies spending double on a boosted edition for a few bonuses without much interest. Otherwise, wait a few months, it still smells of video games that will end up at a bargain price just about everywhere to sell off stocks.
If you've played LEGO 2K Drive, don't hesitate to give your impressions in the comments, those who are still hesitant may find something to tip the scales one way or the other before spending their money. .
It was to be expected, LEGO today unveiled three new references from the LEGO CITY range offering reproductions of playable vehicles in the recently available LEGO 2K Drive video game.
Those who would like to have "real" fun with the cars in the game will therefore be able to do so and those who buy the sets first are invited as soon as they are packaged to play with the digital version of each of the vehicles to be built.
These three sets referenced on the official online store, they are now on pre-order and will be available from August 1, 2023:

The announcement of the day is the arrival of the LEGO Bricktales video game on the platforms Apple iOS et Google Play (Android) where you have to spend the modest sum of 5.99 € to be able to enjoy this game in which you have to solve different puzzles by building things brick by brick through five different biomes.
To celebrate all this, LEGO offers via the Pick and Build service three packs of parts allowing to assemble machines or objects seen in the game, just to materialize the experience with a choice of a car, a throne and a market stall. . Two other packs were planned, a gyrocopter and a raft but they do not appear on the dedicated page for the moment.

Today we know a little more about the content of the LEGO 2K Drive video game announced for May 19, 2023 with the posting of a trailer and the announcement of a promotional product which will be for the purchase of Awesome physical editions of the game: this is the polybag 30630 Aquadirt Racer which will also be a DLC included in the versions Awesome edition et Awesome Rivals Edition and free for any pre-order of the standard edition made before May 18, 2023.

The rumor is now confirmed, the LEGO 2K Drive video game will be released on May 19, 2023 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch and PC platforms via Steam. It will be an open mode racing game playable in solo or with others, with the possibility of bringing together two players in split screen or up to six players online and which will be available in three editions:
|
The Awesome edition et Awesome Rivals Edition will add the soberly titled DLC Drive Pass Year 1 to the standard version as well as some more or less important digital bonuses such as vehicles or pilot figurines. In addition to the rolling, floating or flying machines included, it will be possible to build your own vehicle using the inventory of more than 1000 parts offered online. Models from the CITY, Creator or Speed Champions ranges will be available in the game, as will many biomes, challenges, mini-games, etc...
A pre-order bonus is also planned, the DLC Aquadirt Racer Pack. The official announcement of the game was supposed to take place on March 23, pre-orders will probably be open on the same date.
I'm waiting to see what's really going on in terms of playability before getting carried away, the mere presence of LEGO bricks in a video game is no longer enough to motivate me if the rest does not follow.
(Through which channels you reach those people, classic and out of the box. We Are Playstation, gamekult et GamerGen)
If you've spent hours on the Hill Climb Racing game developed by Finnish studio Fingersoft and released in 2012, you should know that an officially licensed LEGO game version of the game is coming soon, it will be titled LEGO Hill Climb Adventures.
Judging by the first images of the gameplay, we find what makes the original game very addictive with a 3D conversion with LEGO sauce for vehicles, obstacles and bonuses to recover. No official release date yet, a Beta version is currently being tested in Vietnam and Poland. The official version of the game will be available on Android and iOS.
