LEGO recently decided to provide a preview of its novelties to some iconic sites in the LEGO community so that they can publish reviews which in some cases take more the form of disguised advertisements than real reviews for sets in Questions.
However, this is a unique opportunity for all those who want to see more before deciding to invest in the new ranges to discover these sets from every angle. As for the opinions, the criticisms are light, probably not to offend anyone ...
To read here or there:
La review of the 79010 The Goblin King Battle set from Brickset, for whom everything is fantastic except the fact that Gandalf's minifigure is identical to the one in the set 9469 Gandalf Arrives from the Lord of the Rings range.
La review of the 79003 An Unexpected Gathering set from The Brothers Brick which qualifies it as the best set of all time ...
La review of the set 79001 Escape from Mirkwood Spiders still at The Brothers Brick who on the other hand recommends waiting for a promotion to buy this box because of a content considered uninteresting.
LEGO really should be doing something to make the designers showing their work in these videos do it a little bit more spirited ... Looks like the guy is presenting his plan to rob a bank ...
I pass you the brilliant demonstration of barrels that fly off with a simple push or the portal that you can yank out with the other thumb: The video speaks for itself and it's pathetic .
Let’s repeat it all in our hearts, so that LEGO can hear us: We buy your boxes for minifigs !!!
Once again, the Dutch retailer site brickshop.nl gives us some information on the sets of the LEGO Lord of the Rings (or The Hobbit) range for 2013.
It is confirmed that Frodo will make an appearance in the upcoming Peter Jackson trilogy which could place these sets in The Hobbit range.
4 new sets are referenced on this merchant site and the names of the sets are undoubtedly preliminary:
LEGO 79005 Frodo and Ringwraith (LOTR / The Hobbit?)
LEGO 79006 (no set name)
LEGO 79007 Eagles Nest (The Hobbit?)
LEGO 79008 Pirate Ship (Lord of the Rings?)
These 4 sets are announced on June 1, 2013.
(thanks to Daniel for his email)
I don't even know why I'm bothering to talk about it here because it's been a long time since I decided to spend my money on the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit ranges exclusively for minifigs. The walls, the spiders and the boats that do not float do not excite me for a second ...
In short, all this to tell you that LEGO is continuing its teasing on the mini-site dedicated to The Hobbit range with the set 79001 Escape from Mirkwood Spiders.
To hell with spiders and mushrooms, all that interests me here are the 4 minifigs of this set sold 29.99 € at amazon.de : Fili, Kili, Legolas Greenleaf and Tauriel.
I wonder what Legolas is doing in the middle of this set, but this brave Peter Jackson has decided so and LEGO must join the cause.
Orlando Bloom will undoubtedly ensure brilliantly the quota "Handsome kid to attract young girls who adore the young blond boy with pointy earss ".
