Blake Baer aka Blake's Baericks is in good shape and he proves it once again with this creation presented during the Brickfair VA 2013 convention.

The young 16-year-old MOCeur, associated for the occasion with Jack Bittner, another brick artist, offers an imposing version of Erebor, the citadel of the dwarves occupied for a time by Smaug, the greedy dragon.

Many photos taken by convention visitors are available, including this gallery (Click here) in which you will discover several close-ups and an astonishing view of the rear of this MOC.

The Simpsons @LEGOLAND

The Simpsons have already been to LEGOLAND, or rather to LEGO LAND, even if the park in question is a cover for toxic waste illegally buried by Mr. Burns ... The constructions on display behave very strangely in this park. ..

We find this park in two episodes of the animated series: the 15th episode of the 14th season as well as the 16th episode of the 20th season.

There is also another theme park largely inspired by the LEGO universe, the BLOCKOLAND seen in episode 15 of season 12. This park is based on the BLOCKO brand, a parody of LEGO which makes many appearances in the series, especially during E4, the great convention dedicated to video games in Springfield.

Show Us An AFOL Rebrick Competition

Brick filmmakers, to your cameras.

ReBrick and Futuristic Films, the company that produces the next LEGO-based documentary, are offering a competition open to all (except North Koreans, Quebecers, Iranians and a few other countries).

The goal: Make a two-minute brickfilm, in full HD, with royalty-free music and minifigs exclusively under the LEGO house license (No Star Wars or Marvel ...) presenting the difficult condition of AFOL.

The deadline to submit your work is August 30 and you can win some cool stuff: Your brickfilm will be in the documentary in question and you will leave with a box of set 10234 Sydney Opera House signed by Jamie Berard himself, the designer of the thing.

At the risk of repeating myself, I know that there are some good stop-motion fans among the blog's readers. Try your luck, apply yourself and the glory and the glitter.

Or at least a little recognition for your work.

All the information on this competition can be found at this address, read the rules carefully so as not to violate it stupidly and see your proposal rejected.

(Note: Quebecers cannot participate for reasons relating to the specific legislation on competitions in this zone. If a reader from Quebec can explain in detail what it is about, he is welcome in the comments.)
