Here is the first image of the next Modular set in the Creator Expert range unveiled by GRogall on Eurobricks (probably with the agreement of LEGO ...): The 10232 Palace Cinema set obviously (vaguely) inspired by Grauman's Chinese Theater from Hollywood.
I'm not a huge fan of this line of buildings, but I have to admit that this one is, visually anyway, quite nice. Tan, Dark Red, nice curves, a nice roof, a limousine, projectors, 6 minifigs: Another top sales in perspective.
Edit: Grogall just sent me the French version of the image above.
This is thanks to the publication of photos of certain pages of the catalog for the second half of 2013 intended for retailers that we learn a little more about the two most anticipated sets of the LEGO Star Wars range for 2013: 75020 Jabba's Sail Barge et 75021 Republic Gunship.
Before any comment, it should be mentioned that these visuals are in preliminary version and that the final design of their content will undoubtedly change significantly between now and the actual marketing of the sets in question.
Despite everything, we can already draw some conclusions:
The and 75020 Jabba's Sail Barge is much less ambitious than that of 2006 (6210 Jabba's Sail Barge - 781 pieces - 8 minifigs) which will undoubtedly remain a reference for a few more years. What we see on the published visual shows us a barge with reduced dimensions, 6 minifigs including Max Rebo and Jabba (identical to the figurine in the set 9516 Jabba's Palace), curves not very ... curves and a lot of studs ...
Those who relied on this set not to have to spend too much money on the 2006 version will be at their cost if the final design doesn't change significantly. Unfortunately, even if the finish improves with the final set, the proportions should remain the same. So we will have a Chibi-Sail-Barge in 2013.
On the side of the set 75021 Republic Gunship, I really have the impression of seeing the same ship over and over again ... Little improvement on this visual compared to the same ship from the 7676 Republic Attack Gunship set dating from 2008. 7 minifigs including Amidala in her AOTC outfit and a finish that will undoubtedly evolve with the final set. No sticker on the sides on this preliminary visual elsewhere.
Let's be patient and wait for the first official presentation by LEGO of these novelties at the next Toy Fair.
The photos of these novelties are currently visible on this flickr gallery, do not delay, LEGO will surely request their withdrawal quickly.
Some were skeptical, but the information is confirmed by the publication of photos of the catalog for the second half of 2013 intended for resellers: The Castle range returns in 2013 with 5 sets:
70400 Forest Ambush (The little box)
70401 Gold Getaway (Enough to have fun with horses and a cart)
70402 The Gatehouse Raid (The box which should serve as a complement to the castle in set 70404)
70403 Dragon Mountain (The dragon, who will replace Smaug in the meantime ...)
70404 King's Castle (The big box with the castle that everyone is waiting in)
These photos are currently visible on this flickr gallery, do not delay, LEGO will surely request their withdrawal quickly.
It is via photos of the pages of the retailer catalog for the second half of 2013 (images presenting the sets to come but marked "Confidential") that we obtain confirmation of the next 4 sets of the Lord of the Rings range:
79005 The Wizard Battle, with Gandalf and Saruman.
79006 The Council of Elrond with a platform and 4 minifigs.
79007 Battle at the Black Gate with 5 minifigs including Gandalf the White.
79008 Pirate Ship Ambush with a boat and 9 minifigs.
These photos are currently visible on this flickr gallery, do not delay, LEGO will surely request their withdrawal quickly.
Solid Brix Studios (David Hall, ex. Legoboy Productions) offers us a very successful rendering of the armor that Colonel Rhodes will wear in Iron Man 3.
To clarify things: Yes, it's Iron Patriot's, but no, Osborn won't be on the Iron Man 3 adventure.
And for all those who still doubt about the character who will put on this armor in the film, just zoom in on the shooting photos published here and there and read the inscriptions at the top right on the breastplate ...
Going back to the modeled minifig, it gives us an idea of what LEGO could offer us in one of the next sets in the Marvel range. On the other hand, if LEGO follows its logic, Iron Patriot should be entitled to the same helmet as the various Iron Man minifigs released so far.
The custom minifig shown above should be offered for sale soon by Solid Brix Studios and its sidekick Dutch Micro Figures.
