76223 lego marvel infinity saga nano gauntlet 5

We are quickly interested in the content of the LEGO Marvel Infinity Saga set 76223 Nano Gauntlet, a box of 675 pieces which will be available on the official online store and in LEGO Stores at the retail price of €69.99 from August 1, 2022.

As for the gauntlet from the LEGO Marvel set 76191 Infinity Gauntlet (590 pieces - 79.99 €), the presentation base is here identical to that of the helmets, heads and other masks marketed by LEGO in the Marvel, DC Comics or Star Wars ranges and we therefore find at the foot of the construction a small plate of presentation which confirms to us that it is indeed the other famous glove of the Marvel universe.

A very colorful internal structure with a few hooks, sub-assemblies that clip onto the four sides, five fingers and the six Infinity Stones, the inventory of 675 parts including just over 60 elements in metallic Silver and 70 pieces in Metallic Gold is very quickly assembled. Both products are exactly the same size with 31 cm high base included.

The comparison with the other glove ends there. This one seems to me indeed much more faithful to the version seen on the screen in the film Avengers: Endgame than the left-handed musketeer accessory from the other set. The proportions here are correct and the glove is human-sized with its 25 cm high and 12 cm wide off the base.

The shape of the base of the glove does not distort the object, the integration of the metallic elements is very well done, the joints present in each of the fingers allow the presentations to be varied a little and the thumb here is better integrated with the rest of the construction than on Thanos' glove with a Ball joint which certainly remains visible from certain angles but which also knows how to be more discreet depending on the orientation of the model.

There are still a few angles managed a little roughly in places but overall it is very decent. Get ready, the middle fingers will once again swarm on social networks.

76223 lego marvel infinity saga nano gauntlet 6

The six Stones of Infinity integrated on this Nano Gauntlet are not all identical to those present on the glove of Thanos, it is a pity. The Stone of the Soul is indeed here composed of a single orange piece while that of the glove of Thanos was more textured. The five other stones are fitting and we will remember that the four gems placed on the back of the hand make use of roller skates and Shoulder Bags with on arrival a very convincing integration.

We could once again discuss the interest of adding the small plate flanked by the LEGO logo and the name of the product, I am not convinced that its presence is essential even if it obviously reinforces the "collector" side of the set.

This product does not deserve too much thought about it: it will easily find its place between some comics or on the corner of a desk and by possibly adding a few LEDs under the stones it will have its little effect. Those who already own Thanos' glove will therefore have a left hand and a right hand to line up on their shelves.

Don't kid yourself, there are plenty of people lining up BrickHeadz figures or helmets from the Star Wars range in their display cases. More seriously, I find this Nano Gauntlet very successful and much neater than Thanos' glove. I will still wait to find it around fifty euros so as not to have the impression of having paid a little too much for it.

40574 lego brand store 10

Today we quickly go around the contents of the set 40574 LEGO Brand Store, a small box of 541 pieces which will be available at the retail price of €36.99 from August 1, 2022. You read correctly, this is not a promotional product offered subject to purchase or on the occasion of the inauguration of an official brand store, this set is a simple product from the LEGO catalog. This box will also take over from another set on the same theme, the reference 40305 Microscale LEGO Brand Store (362 pieces - €24.99) marketed in 2018.

LEGO therefore offers us to "relive happy visits to a LEGO® Store"with a shop here represented as a"store of the future"and which should allow us to"play shopping"thanks to the two minifigs provided. I'm not making this up, it's in the official product description.

The official LEGO store of the future is therefore a modular open space without roof or stairs, you take a ladder to go upstairs and there is still no employee to serve customers. It was already the case in the set 40305 Microscale LEGO Brand Store who also contented himself with providing us with two clients.

This product of self-promotion, or self-congratulation, highlights the other know-how of the brand on the sidelines of the manufacture of plastic parts: the industrial production of stickers. There are 40 in this box with enough to fill the shelves with sets bearing the image of the different "house" ranges and dress the exterior walls of the store. LEGO makes no effort, the sign on the front is also a sticker. It was probably a bit too much to ask to get a pretty Tile pad printed.

40574 lego brand store 5

40574 lego brand store 6

It will therefore be necessary to go to a LEGO Store or on the Online Shop to buy a LEGO Store which will then serve as product placement in a child's room to remind him that he must go to a LEGO Store to buy other LEGO products. . It's high-flying marketing knowing that you have to pay for this box, it's not a promotional product.

On the form, there are some interesting constructions in this box with a rather successful micro-locomotive and a Disney micro-castle. We also find all the usual spaces of the official stores with a Pick A Brick wall, the Minifigure Factory available in some shops and a fun corner with animal bodies behind which customers can take pictures of themselves. The LEGO Store is also a place where we have fun, it has to be known.

The two minifigs provided are not exclusive, the girl's torso is also delivered in the set 10303 Loop Coaster, the coral colored legs are in the CITY set 60337 Express Passenger, the boy's torso has been in half a dozen boxes since 2020.

In short, I'm a little skeptical about this product sold for €37, which is ultimately just a somewhat elaborate promotional item. If it was offered on condition of purchase, even for a high minimum amount, I could have understood the process, but as it stands I can't see myself spending €37 for it. It's up to you.

10304 lego icons chevrolet camaro z28 20

Today we are quickly interested in the content of the LEGO ICONS set 10304 Chevy Camaro Z28, a box of 1456 pieces which will be available from August 1, 2022 on the official online store and in LEGO Stores at the retail price of €169.99.

The title of the product is sufficiently self-explanatory, so it is a question here of assembling a reproduction of the Chevrolet Camaro Z28 from 1969, a vehicle 36 cm long by 14 cm wide and 10 cm high in its LEGO version, to personalize thanks to the three different sets of bands and the possibility of removing the roof to convert it to a convertible version. It's a little less sexy than the Mustang in the set 10265 Ford Mustang but this Camaro will easily take on the role of second knife on the shelves to highlight the other vehicles that will be lined up there.

LEGO has chosen to decline the machine in black, why not, the manufacturer thus avoids the headache linked to color differences Dark Red (Dark red) which had somewhat ruined the very successful aesthetics of the vehicle in the set 10290 Pickup Truck. But the choice of black also has its drawbacks, mainly because the manufacturer does not take care of all the stages of its production and logistics, we will talk about this below.

No surprise during the beginning of the assembly phase, the chassis of this new vehicle is as usual composed of Technic frames and beams on which we install the floor, the central tunnel and the various elements that will allow you to enjoy integrated management. The set is not lacking in interesting techniques, those who buy these boxes to offer themselves an entertaining editing experience should not be disappointed.

The upholstery seems very successful to me, it contrasts a little with the austere appearance of the exterior and it knows how to be pleasantly noticed when this Camaro is in version Convertible. The doors are mounted on the usual hinges but the designer adds a little extra with an arm that holds them open, the steering is functional, the trunk is empty and the engine compartment is properly laid out with a small, simple assembly that allows to lift the hood without being too disappointed not to find the expected reproduction of the engine there. No moving pistons here, it's not Technic and the engine is dummy.

10304 lego icons chevrolet camaro z28 1 1

10304 lego icons chevrolet camaro z28 14

We welcome the presence in this box of new wheel arches which avoid the two usual half-arches with their rendering not always very appropriate depending on the type of vehicle on which they are used. This new part is successful, it remains discreet and it integrates perfectly with the whole of the bodywork.

The lines and curves are there, you know it's a Camaro from the first glance and I think the designer has nothing to be ashamed of even if the windshield is as often a little too flat, we do not find the curvature present on that of the reference vehicle. This detail is a bit detrimental to the overall aesthetics of the upper part of the model, but we will have to be content with this piece that LEGO must cushion.
The rims and the central caps are well metallic but this is not the case for the bumpers, the door handles and the mirrors and that is a shame. The gray used is somewhat sad and LEGO could have made an effort to metallize these elements, especially at €170 per car.

The model does not escape a sheet of stickers with 18 stickers to put in place on the bodywork and various interior elements. That's a lot for a pure show model whose career will end on a shelf. Moreover, at least one sticker is missing to cover the center of the steering wheel, it's a bit empty as it is. The two striated headlights offered as an alternative to the round version at the front and the two rear lights are stamped, these parts are correctly executed and have their little effect.

I'm not a fan of the two gray glasses used for the mirrors, there was probably better to do, especially on a "serious" model which already makes a lot of compromises with the reference vehicle in terms of curves and finishes. These popsicles seem a little off topic, although I know that some will not fail to salute the ingenuity of whoever thought of this piece to embody the two mirrors of this Camaro.

10304 lego icons chevrolet camaro z28 16

On the form, we can therefore say that it is generally rather successful even if this Camaro is not flamboyant. Basically, it's much less obvious. The black parts are all more or less affected by surface defects with scratches, tenons visible by transparency and various and varied traces which will be more or less noticeable depending on the lighting used. Choosing a black livery was probably only a choice out of spite, the result is not very flattering for a high-end model sold for 170 € and I would gladly exchange this pile of black parts for a batch in Dark Red, too bad for color differences.

The two panes are simply thrown into the bags and they are therefore more or less damaged upon unpacking. It's full cardboard in the copy I received with two beautiful scratches. One could have imagined that LEGO would continue to protect these large elements with an additional piece of plastic as was the case in the sets 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine et 75341 Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder but that's not the case in this box.

The promised functionality which should in principle make it possible to choose between three sets of colored strips and combined with the hard top or convertible version is there but it is frankly laborious: To switch from one version to another you have to disassemble from memory certain elements and then follow the instructions from the page concerned. As well choose the version that suits you from the start, this product is "transformable" but it is not a question of simply exchanging a few Tiles to obtain the expected result as the official visual that shows the vehicle with its color variants already assembled suggests. LEGO could have supplied the extra parts needed to have these pre-assembled items on hand and only need to swap out a few blocks of parts.

To conclude, I think this product is acceptable but it will probably not make an impression. It's just one more American vehicle in the LEGO inventory that will expand a collection and highlight the other more iconic models it will accompany. Finally, be aware that the era of vehicles in the Creator Expert range sold for €140 is now over, the new pricing announced by LEGO applies to this product and you will have to pay €169.99 to afford this black Camaro.

And yes, I mixed the colors on the cover, I do what I want, you can do the same.

76218 lego marvel sanctum sanctorum 1

Today we take a quick tour of the LEGO Marvel set content 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, a box of 2708 pieces that will be available from August 1, 2022 at the public price of 249.99 €.

This crossover between the LEGO Marvel range and the universe of Modulars LEGO was expected, so it takes place with this reproduction of the New York premises of Greenwich Village occupied by Doctor Strange.

Exit the minimalist playset of the set 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown (1004 pieces - 109.99 €) marketed in 2018, make way for a more detailed version of the places which therefore takes up the usual recipe for Modulars with its qualities and its defects. We are not going to complain too much to see this product arrive on the shelves, the Marvel universe at LEGO is often content with ships and other vehicles and the manufacturer only rarely offers emblematic places.

This was the case last year with the visually somewhat sad reproduction of the set 76178 Daily Bugle, and the choice of Sanctum Sanctorum with its architecture very close to those of existing constructions in the range of Modulars was an opportunity to make it a nice module to place at the end of the street without spoiling the aesthetics of LEGOville.

If you have already assembled a Structure, you necessarily know the tricks of the concept: a 32 x 32 base plate on which we install a piece of sidewalk and some exterior elements, an assembly process that is intelligently distributed between the construction of the walls, openings in the facade and interior furnishings and on arrival a detailed construction whose different levels can be removed to access the internal spaces and enjoy the amenities therein, often at your fingertips.

76218 lego marvel sanctum sanctorum 19

The furniture installed in the various rooms of this building is largely of the level of what is generally obtained with Modulars and it is logically adapted to the theme and context concerned. The ground floor features the grand staircase which takes up most of the available space, but the designer still managed to slip a small secret room behind the steps with a few accessories including the Orb of Agamotto, the Stone Time and a medium to secure the Book of the Vishanti.

The first floor obviously leaves room for the upper landing of the staircase and there is a library that hides the passage to different destinations embodied by large stickers. It is enough to move the sliding panels using the external air conditioning units placed in the back of the construction to change the visual present behind the door, it is ingenious and well integrated. We only regret that the positioning of the panels does not allow the stickers to be perfectly centered in the door frame.

The second floor houses a few relics and other mystical artefacts that are more or less irrelevant or anecdotal, but access to it is complicated: no stairs are provided despite the opening on the floor. This is where the iconic round canopy of this New York building is installed, with a nicely pad-printed and rather well-integrated element, being held by two droid arms and plated behind the opening. The flat roof is then reduced to a few plates flanked by very successful chimneys which give a little height to the whole construction and a few accessories, that's enough.

No tiling on the floors and it's a bit of a shame, the Holy of Holies probably deserved a little more attention at floor level to give it the necessary cachet, knowing that the first floor is content with two strips of a few hold on the sides and only a handful of Tiles additional would probably not weigh on the manufacturer's margin.

76218 lego marvel sanctum sanctorum 14

This product is a Structure but it is also and above all a set in the Marvel universe, so it was logical that LEGO offers us some features relating to the subject treated. There are therefore three openings in the walls of the building which can be blocked by interchangeable and reversible modules in order to make the construction more or less marked with the Marvel imprint.

Gargantos makes an appearance here, he can either come out of the wall or invade the library on the first floor. The poster announcing the exhibition on Captain America must be rotated 90° depending on the location chosen, all of this is frankly successful and adds an interesting dynamic to the product. LEGO also provides two transparent rods to plug into the different open tenons available on the facades, you can stage your minifigs there to give a little more volume and dynamism to the whole.

The building occupies only part of the base plate, we are used to it and it is here for the good cause with easy access to the various planned functionalities even when the construction will be leaned against another Structure at the end of the street. There will remain a dark alley between the two buildings, with its bins and waste, and it will be possible to slip your fingers there to add or remove something and manipulate the two air conditioning units.

This product being a full member of the universe Structure of which it takes all the codes, it is inevitably a little empty on the two sides which are in principle intended to face other constructions of the same type. Those who hoped for a truly independent product are therefore at their expense, this is not the choice made by LEGO.

If you find that this Sanctum Sanctorum lacks a bit of volume, nothing prevents you from buying two copies and tinkering with the ultimate building. I'm not sure that the game is really worth the candle, the result obtained with a single box seems sufficiently convincing to me and the building is in the state easily presentable alone on a shelf by positioning it correctly.

The winks and other more or less obvious references to the Marvel universe are numerous here, they are for many of them embodied by the slew of stickers to stick during assembly. Two sheets are provided, they include 45 stickers, some of which have a transparent background so as not to risk the inevitable difference in color with the rooms that host them. It's a shame, you can still see the glue and it's almost worse on arrival on some parts.

76218 lego marvel sanctum sanctorum 22

The endowment in minifigs is correct here without being breathtaking. There are nine characters and it's never enough when it comes to collecting figurines from the Marvel universe.

We get a new version of Ebony Maw with a more successful head than the set 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown but a pair of neutral legs, I prefer this more sober version to the previous one, too bad for the legs. We are also adding to our collections a new version of Wong with a new torso, the head available since 2021 and a pair of neutral legs which necessarily breaks the dynamics of the character's outfit a little.

Iron Man is delivered here in MK50 version with his new helmet, Spider-Man is supplied with a head already seen but a new torso and pair of legs. We salute the effort on the pad printing of the arms but there is still work to be done so that the red color is perfectly matched with that of the torso, head and legs. In the state it is a little missed.

Scarlet Witch is equipped with a head of hair with a molded tiara but here we have a really more accomplished pad printing than on the figurine from the series of collectible characters (71031 Collectible Minifigure Series) who was already using this accessory. Neutral legs on a superb new torso surmounted by a very appropriate angry face, you can't have everything.

Karl Mordo returns to LEGO after a first version based on the film Doctor Strange delivered in 2016 in the set 76060 Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum and this new minifig from the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is rather successful even the piece of fabric pales in comparison to Strange's plastic cape. The hair is well textured, the torso is very worked and there are only the neutral legs which once again spoil the figurine a little.

Sinister Strange's complexion is a little too yellow for my taste, but the minifig is generally very correct with an outfit consistent with that of the film. The legs are identical to those of the Doctor Strange minifigure delivered in this box and already seen in the set 76205 Gargantos Showdown available since the beginning of the year.

Finally, LEGO will undoubtedly have wanted to avoid the scars and the emaciated face of the Zombie Strange seen in the cinema by composing a less gory minifigure and by drawing on the visual identity of the fifth episode of the animated series What If ...? Why not, it also works like that and the degraded version of the outfit matches that of the other two figurines.

Finally, I think this product is overall very convincing with a construction that will provide a good dose of pleasure to fans of the Marvel universe thanks to the many references and winks scattered throughout the floors and which will allow all those who like me are not fans of Modulars to have a taste of exercise for once.

This set achieves its goal, it finally allows to assemble a Sanctum Sanctorum credible and up to what we could hope to obtain one day at LEGO beyond the usual minimalist playsets and it is also an opportunity to add some minifigs to our collections, whether variants or new characters at LEGO. The public price set at 249.99 € unfortunately does not put this box within reach of all budgets and it will probably be necessary to be patient to find it elsewhere than at LEGO at a more reasonable price.

Note: The set presented here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at July 25, 2022 next at 23:59 p.m. Just post a comment under the article to participate.

10305 lego icons lion knight castle 14

We continue today with a quick overview of the content of the LEGO Icons set 10305 Lion Knights'Castle, a large box of 4514 pieces including 22 minifigs which will allow from next August 3 and in exchange for 399.99 € to assemble a strong tribute to one of the emblematic universes of the brand.

As with the other set celebrating the brand's 90th anniversary this year, the reference 10497 Galaxy Explorer (99.99 €), it is obviously not an identical reissue of the set 6080 King's Castle which could be considered as the reference product and which was much less ambitious and above all less expensive.

The public price of 399.99 € leaves no room for doubt, LEGO goes there frankly by offering a huge playset which will undoubtedly end up as a simple exhibition product for the majority of nostalgic fans who will acquire it. The product is designed to provide playful possibilities when fully or partially open and to occupy a smaller space when closed in on itself, so LEGO does not sacrifice either theoretical playability or the obvious display potential of this castle. .

The homage to the product and to the reference universe is less obvious here than with the content of the set 10497 Galaxy Explorer : A castle can be assembled well, but it does not look like the somewhat crude constructions experienced by those who played with these products in the 80s. The references are elsewhere, on the walls and on the torso of the minifigs and LEGO finally pays homage to all of his work rather than to a specific reference. Fans wanted a castle, they got one and in my opinion it more than lives up to what you'd expect from a premium toymaker in 2022.

I won't give you the verse on the different stages of assembly and on the techniques used, keep the pleasure of discovery for the moment when you open the big box and you will begin to understand that you do not have to regret have spent 400 €. Just know that LEGO misses no detail, including accessibility to the different spaces of this castle.

There is always a staircase or a ladder in the corner to move around inside the premises and this detail reinforces the impression that the manufacturer has taken care to think out his product down to the smallest detail. No stickers, everything is stamped and there is only plastic except for the two banners that float on top of the walls and the queen's cape. These three pieces of fabric are unfortunately only printed on one side.

10305 lego icons lion knight castle 10

Some features are there and we are not content to "open a door" or "tilt" a piece of wall. The drawbridge is functional as is the portcullis placed just behind. The two mechanisms that put these elements in motion are very well integrated into the construction, I leave you the pleasure of discovering the tricks that will allow you to afford a few minutes of nostalgic pleasure.

The water wheel is also mobile and it even sets in motion the millstone placed on the other side of the wall. The functionality may seem trivial and it will probably never be used again after a few minutes, but it embodies our playful "activities" as children, such as when we spent time filling up our little Majorette cars with a dummy gas pump. .

The manufacturer allows this product to be assembled with four hands with two separate instruction booklets to build the two modules which will then have to be joined together via a few clips to obtain the complete enclosure. The assembly phase is rather entertaining, even if we could expect the worst when discovering the imposing gray walls made up of stacked bricks.

However, like a Structure, we alternate here regularly between simplistic stacks and the construction of furniture or more detailed accessories and we do not regret the long hours devoted to this big whiff of nostalgia. The layout of the different rooms is sufficiently substantial to identify their function even if, to my taste, it lacks a bit of smooth tiling or carpet in places, the visible studs really contrasting with the smooth walls.

As I said above, the complete model is both a luxury playset more than 70 cm long when deployed and a high-end exhibition product with a footprint of 45 x 33 cm and very accomplished finish on all sides when the castle is closed. The usual principle "We don't see it anymore but we know it's there"characteristic of Modulars will therefore apply here too even if it will be enough to open the castle to take advantage of the various rooms and other integrated hiding places that I leave it to you to discover without spoiler.

The hinges are rather discreet, the closing adjustments on each of the two modules and on the junction between the two are very correct and the possibility of opening the playset will not immediately jump out at those who discover the object in its configuration. of exposure.

10305 lego icons lion knight castle 12

10305 lego icons lion knight castle 24

A medieval castle without knights and other villagers is of little interest and LEGO also goes all out here with 22 minifigures. The pad prints are generally very successful and there is enough to fill the different levels of the castle as well as the surroundings of the rocky peak on which it is installed. Direct references to the different factions imagined by LEGO in the 80s are there with a slew of coats of arms all very well executed. Everyone will find their favorite faction there and the tribute seems rather exhaustive to me.

The nine Lion Knights are all equipped with the same torso and the same pair of legs, it is the accessories and the faces that will make the difference and only the queen benefits from two personalized elements. Same recipe for the three members of the Black Falcons with identical outfits and the three Forest Guardians who use the torso already seen in the promotional set 40567 Forest Hideout.

Those who grumble about the subtle tweaks to some of the various emblems will have short memories, LEGO has never been shy about tweaking and altering these illustrations over the years and sets in the range. Perhaps a few additional animals are missing to flesh out the bestiary a little, a real vegetable garden at the foot of the walls and enough to cover the blue surface with a few Tiles transparent.

Some of the minifigs recycle elements already seen elsewhere and others are a bit less detailed than the rest of the cast. We can see a "vintage" guarantee of the product with a tribute to the simplicity of figurines dating from the 80s and this is the case of the magician Majisto who looks like the minifig of "Merlin" that many fans have known, pad printing less torso. In my opinion, it was not really necessary to make tons of it anyway, I think that the simple fact of finally seeing your silhouette in a set will be enough to produce a great breath of nostalgia.

10305 lego icons lion knight castle 19

We could spend hours trying to find flaws or bad positioning in this big set, but that would be giving it a role it doesn't have. It's not a reissue of a specific product, it's not an educational product, it's just a high-end tribute for adults nostalgic for a universe that fascinated them during their childhood, which benefits of the essential modernization of techniques and takes advantage of the inventory of parts available since the 80s. Those who despaired of one day seeing their favorite medieval factions return to the LEGO catalog have finally been heard, that is the essential .

This debauchery of parts and figurines, however, places this product in a price range that will not put it within the reach of all budgets and that is a bit of a shame. Was it absolutely necessary to produce a castle of more than 4000 rooms to celebrate an anniversary to which the fans of the first hour who do not necessarily have 400 € to spend would have liked to be invited? there was probably a way to offer a more modest castle without sacrificing all the details and fittings, just to make it accessible to more people.

We also note that the two parts of the castle can be self-sufficient, proof that it was undoubtedly possible to offer something acceptable with an inventory reduced by half. Otherwise, it remains the Creator set 31120 Medieval Castle, less ambitious but closer to the products of the 80s in terms of finish and which is sold for 99.99 €.
