This is the no-event of the day, and as I have been spammed by many fans who probably got a little carried away, rather than responding individually to each of those who took the trouble to write to me I take the time to take stock here on this hot topic that is the possible reissue of the Millennium Falcon Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) of set 10179 released in 2007.
Initially, a LEGO employee, Julia Goldin, Marketing Manager at the manufacturer, responds to an interview. We ask him a stupid question: "Is it possible for LEGO to reissue the iconic Millennium Falcon UCS?"She just answers"It's possible".
The question is anyway poorly worded, it obviously leaves room for a high-flying touch kicking from a marketing professional who only indicates that LEGO can do it. Nothing more.
From there, it left in analyzes, over-analyzes mixed with a big ladle of Method Coué, passages in loops of the video in question, interventions of fans of the TV series Lie to Me and self-proclaimed specialists in micro-expression analyzes, various and varied deductions, endless lists of arguments that could possibly confirm that this non-response is an obvious clue, lists of good reasons for it to be this year, etc ...
Be serious. With the wave of re-releases launched by LEGO in recent years, the question is no longer whether or not LEGO will market a new UCS version of the Millennium Falcon. Sooner or later it will be. The only question that now remains unanswered is When?
Scrooge Magazine announced it for 2015, others for 2016, now it's for 2017. And if it's not 2017, it will be 2018. And so on. End of the story.
The LEGO Marvel range is expected to expand with two more boxes with Spider-Man inside in 2017 if the rumor of the moment is confirmed.
To accompany the theatrical release in July 2017 of the film Spider-Man: Homecoming, LEGO would offer the two sets below:
A box featuring a bank robbery with Spider-Man (Tom Holland) minifigs and two villains.
A box with a vehicle and the minifigs of Spider-Man, Vulture (Michael Keaton, with brick-based wings), Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine) and ... Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.).
That's all we know about these two sets for now, we'll probably have to wait until the Toy Fairs be launched to find out more ...

Because it's not just The LEGO Batman Movie in 2017, here are some rumors concerning the boxes that will accompany the release of the films Thor: Ragnarök (October 2017) and Wonder Woman (June 2017).
As usual, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt while awaiting official confirmation.
Two sets are a priori planned for Thor: Ragnarök. No Sif (Jaimie Alexander) or Heimdall (Idris Elba) in these sets much to my regret:
A set with the Gladiator Ring [the arena], la bigfig of Hulk (in gladiator armor), Thor with helmet (Chris Hemsworth), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) and a guard (Karl Urban as Skurge?). A second set with a ship (ship?) and the transformative Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) minifigs, Thor with his helmet, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Hela (Cate Blanchett) and two henchmen. |
And only one box for Wonder Woman (LEGO Reference 76075):
A plane with the minifigs of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) and ... Ares in a giant brick-based version similar to the one of Giant Man seen in the set 76051 Super Hero Airport Battle released in 2016. |

Now that we know almost everything about what LEGO is preparing for the first half of 2017 regarding The LEGO Batman Movie merchandise, here's something to fuel the discussions with some rumors about the second half sets.
At least three sets would be expected if we consider that delta.customs is reliable (it has been in the past):
The first would stage Bane (see the capture from the film trailer above), Mutant Leader et Batman. For those who don't know who Mutant Leader is, this is an evil gang leader created by Frank Miller for The Dark Knight Returns.
The second set would allow us to obtain a second version of Scarecrow after that, very disguised from the set 70910 Scarecrow's Pizza Trap. In the box we would find a flying contraption used by Scarecrow which could possibly be the one below. And Batman.
In the third box, Two-Face (see the capture from the film trailer above) and his vehicle. And at least Batman.
A fourth set is planned with a Batmobile that transforms into a Batwing and a Batcycle and the minifigs of Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Alfred Pennyworth (in a different outfit from the set 70909 Batcave Break-in), Wicked Witch And two Flying monkeys.
To my knowledge, this is the first list of sets from the second half of 2017 in the LEGO Star Wars range. It is still a bit vague, it is to be taken with a grain of salt like all unconfirmed rumors and the public prices communicated are rounded for the occasion.
|
The exact content of the two Battle Packs is not known at this time. The public price is that usually observed. Each of the two advertised references will likely offer as usual four characters from a specific faction.
Set 75178 will undoubtedly allow us to obtain a ship seen briefly in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Quadjumper which appears for a second on screen during Finn, Rey and BB-8's run on Jakku before exploding. Logically, on the minifig side, Finn, Rey and BB-8 seem to be the minimum union. To associate with sets 75099 Rey's Speeder, 75105 Millennium Falcon et 75148 Encounter on Jakku for a slightly more robust Niima Outpost ...
As usual with Star Wars, even ships that make a brief appearance on the screen are entitled to a hyper-detailed presentation in the various encyclopedias available:
With the set 75180 we will expand our collections of minifigs based on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In the box, probably some members of the Guavian Death Gang, possibly accompanied by Bala-Tik. Han Solo should logically be present. For 80 €, we may be entitled to a corridor and, let's be crazy, a Rathtar ...
Set 75182 is still a mystery: We just got an Imperial Hovertank based on the movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, it is therefore unlikely that this set contains the same device. Perhaps a device from the Star Wars Rebels animated series ...
Set 75183 is likely a LEGO-style reinterpretation of the scene seen inEpisode III: Revenge of the Sith. Collectors will remember the Darth Vader Transformation set 7251 released in 2005. Chances are, this is the same scene with Vader / Anakin and an FX-9 medical droid.
Finally, the references 75185 and 75186 will be based on the animated series The Freemaker Adventures and will expand the number of products derived from this mini-series along with the sets 75145 Eclipse Fighter et 75147 Star Scavenger released this summer.
These new sets will join those planned for the first half of 2017, among which no less than 11 boxes based on the movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
This new list of sets is not the fruit of the rants of a fan in need of attention on any forum. It is relatively vague, but the source is reliable.
