LEGO today officially unveils a product that everyone has probably already seen since it was available for sale in at least one LEGO Store, the LEGO ICONS set 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System with its 3601 pieces, its public price set at €259.99 and the possibility of finally assembling a real detailed shooting range, certain assembly sequences of which will bring back memories to those who built the Eiffel Tower from the LEGO ICONS set 10307 Eiffel Tower, without having to resolve to take a fan MOC.
Availability planned for May 15, 2024 in Insiders preview followed by global marketing from May 18.
10341 NASA ARTEMIS SPACE LAUNCH SYSTEM ON THE LEGO SHOP >>
You know that the theme of Space is in the spotlight this year at LEGO and the LEGO ART range is no exception to this trend with today's announcement of the set 31212 The Milky Way, a box of 3091 pieces which will be available as an Insiders preview from May 15, 2024 at the public price of €199.99 before global marketing planned for May 18.
The inventory of the set will allow you to assemble a Milky Way 65 cm long by 40 cm high and 5 cm deep with a rather convincing relief effect. The product is divided into five distinct sections, each benefiting from a dedicated instruction booklet which will allow several people to assemble the thing.
LEGO is today unveiling five new boxes from the LEGO DREAMZzz range which will be available from August 1, 2024. It's still as colorful and inspired even if we already suspect that these derivative products will be vaguely inspired by the content of the new season of the animated series which serves as marketing support for the range and that what we will obtain in these sets will not necessarily be an exact reproduction of the creatures and machines seen on the screen.

For those interested, note that the four boxes planned to accompany the release of the animated film Despicable Me 4 are now available for sale via the official LEGO online store.
This is therefore the opportunity to discover the entire content of the different products available, LEGO having initially only announced some of them a few days ago. For the rest, it's up to you to see if these different sets deserve the honors in your portfolio now without waiting for them to be available for a few euros less elsewhere than at LEGO:

Today we are quickly talking about a derivative product which will be offered subject to purchase at LEGO during the May the 4th promotional operation, the LEGO Star Wars reference 5008818 Collectible Battle of Yavin which will be automatically added to your basket from May 1 to 5, 2024 as soon as the minimum purchase amount of €90 in products from the range is reached.
The minimum amount required will quickly be reached, for €90 we don't have much left in this range.
It is therefore a metal medallion 5 cm in diameter inserted in a rather successful box. We find in the manufacture of the thing Chinese company RDP which now regularly produces this type of object for LEGO and once again the technical execution leaves a little to be desired. The medallion is rather pretty with its plastic insert which allows you to embody the targeting of the X-wing in the bays of the Death Star by a TIE Fighter, but the whole thing is definitely not up to the level of a derivative product offered by a manufacturer operating in the high-end toy sector. It is barely properly machined and on the back we discover the canopy of the TIE fighter flanked by a very unsightly rivet responsible for holding the piece of floating plastic which is not in the best taste. All that for this.
There remains the pretty box, even if I never tell you about the packaging of LEGO products, which is correctly designed with its opening in two sections to reveal the medallion in its cardboard case. We could have hoped for more aesthetic foam inside, but we clearly shouldn't be too demanding.
In short, we could discuss the usefulness of the thing, its truly "collector" side and the insistence on the part of LEGO to regularly want to offer us derivative products which are only very distantly associated with its flagship product. , especially in this specific case.
Many fans will be satisfied with it and they will undoubtedly be right, you have to cheer yourself up after spending your money buying a few boxes at full price on the official online store.
As usual, it will be up to you to decide whether this little souvenir reserved for members of the program LEGO Insiders and which is not even stamped with the words "May the 4th" really deserves the honors of your wallet.
