Rick McCallum: Star Wars TV Show Still Coming

First of all, if you do not understand the title of this article, go tor this post from October 2011 to know everything about what is currently known (or not) about the TV series project based on the Star Wars universe.

Rick McCallum confirms to IGN that the TV series project is still in the making, that scripts have already been written, that the special effects are currently too expensive, but that within a few years this project could finally see the light of day.

Regarding the film project on Boba Fett about which Joe Johnston (director of Captain America) had expressed his desire to participate, nothing credible for the moment, Lucas would not be (yet) convinced by the project which remains despite everything a eventuality in the distant future (tongue in cheek inside).

Regarding the Star Wars 1313 mystery, Rick McCallum clearly does not wish to respond to this subject and leaves the interview. For those who have not followed, Lucasfilm has registered just about every possible domain name imaginable incorporating this strange series of 4 numbers and the word starwars. Beyond the passionate rantings of the fans, it could quite simply be another video game under the Star Wars license.

6005188 Darth Maul

It's very nice all these promotions where we are flooded with chrome minifigs, miniature Hulks, various and varied bags, but there is one that everyone has put aside a little lately: the polybag 6005188 Darth Maul

And for good reason, it was still sold for almost 40 € recently on Bricklink, which is, let's face it, a bit excessive.

And good news, an English channel, SMYTHS, currently distributes this minifigure in its stores located in Great Britain and Ireland with any purchase of a set from the LEGO Star Wars range.

The effect was immediate, the starting price for a sachet containing Darth Maul fell less than 20 € and it should drop a bit further in the next few days ... before rising as usual.

In short, if you want one and don't want to take the Eurostar, now is the time to get it ...

9516 Jabba's Palace

xwingyoda bought a few sets of the new Star Wars wave and offers many pictures on his flickr gallery.

On the menu, 9516 Jabba's Palace with its pretty minifigs and, say, somewhat compact palate, as well as the 9499 Gungan Sub, with its Bongo so organic that it has gills on the sides and which includes the superb minifig of Queen Amidala.

Take a few minutes to take a look at these (good) photos and make up your own mind.

9473 The Mines of Moria

It is by taking a look at the review of the set 9473 The Mines of Moria on FBTB, well illustrated incidentally, that I came across the heresy of this set: A sheet of 34 stickers, just that ...

In defense, it must be recognized that the patterns used in this set are for the most part specific to the Lord of the Rings universe, but all the same, LEGO could have made an effort on the screen printing of the details of the walls or the boards.

I live like a permanent regression these overloaded sticker sheets, which will contribute to the disappointment of collectors over the months. How do you display a clearly marketed set with a collector's spirit without seeing the stickers turn yellow, peel off and crack under the effect of the sun, dust or simply ambient light?

Tip of the day: Scan your sheet of stickers, buy yourself a pack of self-adhesive micro-application sheets and print a copy for you to use without regrets. And store the original in a dry place away from light ...

Many collectors will take care not to stick these stickers, to keep their set in good condition, and the whole will lose in realism and finish. Not to mention that such a board will be resold in a few months at a high price on Bricklink, and the bravest, those who have dared to put them on their coins, will be at their expense.

LEGO Batman 2 - Nigthwing, Katana, Shazam, Zatanna & Damian Wayne

Another in-game unlockable character pack Lego batman 2 is offered as a bonus on some pre-orders of the game. This time it consists of super heroes with Nigthwing, Katana, Shazam, Zatanna and Damian Wayne.

Okay for most of us, these heroes aren't the best known or most charismatic in the DC Comics universe, except Nightwing, and their names won't mean much to you unless you've read the relevant comics since. a twenty years...

But it's a gift, so we're not going to complain ....

Personally, I'm more excited about the version of the game that includes the Lex Luthor minifigure. The characters in digital version will anyway be activated in the game by everyone sooner or later.

This pack was seen for now at MediaMarkt, a German retail giant, but it should be available elsewhere without a doubt. (see this article on Blog der Steine)
