9526 Palpatine's Arrest

jedistef et Quentin had it all: They found the 6 minifigs, the speeder and the desk except for a few details. Others have often seen more minifigs than the final set contains. Some had not seen the presence of the speeder. Many had mistakenly predicted the presence of Mas Ameda.

For the two winners, I will contact you by email to obtain your contact details and send you a little surprise gift.

9472 Attack on Weathertop

Last stop-motion review of Artifex for this first LEGO Lord of the Rings range with the set 9472 Attack on Weathertop.

As said before, a lot of interesting parts for MOCeurs, a campfire, an opening hatch, flick-fire missiles, a playset that deploys, a chicken thigh, a carrot and a ring ...

We will obviously retain the minifigs with the three members of the Fellowship of the Ring: Aragorn, Frodo and Merry as well as the two Ringwraiths on which LEGO was a little lazy and their superbly decorated mounts.

Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith & 9526 Palpatine's Arrest - DC0052 Speeder

Come on, just to clarify things around the presence of this slightly simplistic mini speeder in the set 9526 Palpatine's Arrest, you have to go back to the source, l'Episode III Revenge of the Sith, to discover or rediscover this DC0052 Speeder used by Anakin Skywalker to get to Palpatine's office.

The thing is present in the film, and acts as a device used by the Jedi for short and fast movements. I save you here the Wookepedia file of the thing and all the canonical folklore or not that goes with it, just to remind you that the device is also used by Obi-Wan Kenobi to go to meet Padme Amidala.

DC0052 Speeder also makes an appearance in the animated series The Clone Wars Season 3. He is present in two episodes: Sphere of Influence et Assassin.

This gives all its meaning to this machine which has not marked my memory as a distracted fan, but which some of you had surely recognized.

9500 Sith Fury-Class Interceptor. Dath malgus

I can't help it, I love this character ... For what it represents, a kind of Darth Vader before its time, all the darkness of the force gathered in a disturbing and evil gaze.

Et Exobrick offers us these pretty pictures of the minifig of the set 9500 Sith Fury-Class Interceptor on which we discover the exceptional finish and all the care taken by LEGO to this character. The screen printing is really very detailed, the armor is perfectly molded and adjusted.

By the way, a little nod to the work ofExobrick, with its judicious assemblies of original parts with custom elements from various manufacturers. Take a look atr his flickr gallery, it's very great art. The minifigs are tastefully designed and each item is carefully chosen. Also, to better guide you, ExoBrick mentions all of the sources it uses to put these gorgeous minifigs together.

Red Skull Custom Minifig

Those who follow Hoth Bricks have probably just read me about ExoBrick. But I can't resist the pleasure of posting here his custom minifig of Red Skull, Captain America's enemy and leader of the Hydra.

The basic minifigure is that of Christo, I presented it to you in this article at the beginning of the year, but ExoBrick has gone even further with the addition of custom elements from Brickarms and TinyTactical.

The result is breathtaking and I am amazed by all the creations based on assemblies of custom parts offered by ExoBrick on his flickr gallery.
