Artifex does it again with the flagship set of the LEGO Lord of the Rings range: 9474 The Battle Of Helm's Deep. Not much to say, except that with this video you will discover the whole set and from all angles.

MOCeurs will appreciate being able to discover the inventory of the set thanks to the stop-motion. The meager features are also shown in action, a crumbling wall, a platform that ejects the minifigs ...

If we remove the price parameter, here is a nice fortress with some minifigs. If we add the price, which exceeds 140 €, it is less obvious ....

The sets of the LEGO Lord of the Rings range are finally listed at amazon.fr. We therefore find the entire range with the exception of the set 9476 The Orc Forge which will be available in priority on the LEGO Shop and in stores (Toys R Us).

There is also a strange reference, the set 3920 from the LEGO Games range which is titled The Hobbit. No doubt a board game like LEGO already offers some, with a few pawns, a few pieces, complicated rules and games designed to last a few minutes.

It's exceptional enough to be underlined, LEGO is advertising in Germany for the two sets from the universe of Star Wars The Old Republic: 9500 Sith Fury-Class Interceptor & 9497 Republic Striker-Class Starfighter.

The video opens with Darth Malgus branding his account and continues with an epic battle between a fleet of Fury fighters attacked by Republic Striker ships whose wing deployment mechanism can be seen in action.

It's very well done, it makes you want to and for once, flick-fire missiles do not plop ... They explode with great reinforcements of special effects.

So far we've had to stay to the visuals of the minifigs of this set 6873 Spiderman's Doc Ock Ambush. We had discovered them in the mini comics inserted in the sets of the LEGO Super Heroes Marvel range.

Here is the first visual available of the box of this set, it was put online by an Australian merchant, in this case Mr Toys Toy World , with a kind of laboratory, a vehicle, and 3 minifigs: Spider-Man in Ultimate version, Iron Fist and Doc Ock.

Everything seems well done, even if I regret that we are still entitled to a somewhat rickety playset. But I don't care a bit, it's mostly minifigs that interest me here ....

Here is the content of the next LEGO Star Wars 2012 Advent Calendar (9509).

No big surprise: Mini-ship in spades with some models that look quite successful from afar considering the microscopic format, some pretty well-chosen minifigs, and the two essential but ridiculous R2-D2 Snowman and Santa Maul. 

Finally, this Advent Calendar will be a continuation of that of 2011. No more, no less. We can open a box a day and criticize the mini-stuff, enjoy the minifigs and have a laugh on the last day. Just like in 2011 ...
