Because as soon as we talk about a UCS or collector's set, the box is at least as important as its content, here is the definitive visual of that of the 76023 The Tumbler set whose marketing will begin on August 18 with the early sale. on the set's LEGO Shop for members of the VIP program. The set will then be available to all customers from September 1st.
This product sold for € 219.99 in France is already visible on the LEGO Shop (File accessible at this address).
It was DC Comics Day at the LEGO SDCC 2014 booth with the presentation of the 76023 UCS Tumbler set (already listed on the LEGO Shop at this address), which is much more impressive in real life than the official visuals, and the presence of Adam West aka Batman in the 1966 series.
The showcase serving as a display for the new sets has slightly smoked walls, and not being a specialist in photography, I have nothing better to offer you than the one below.
I had the chance to win one of 1750 copies of the minifigure of the Collector (Guardians of the Galaxy) put into play today.
Unlike the minifig of Bard the bowman (The Hobbit) distributed yesterday, this minifigure from Collector is truly exclusive to Comic Con.
Bard the bowman will be featured in one of The Hobbit sets that will be released next fall.
We continue with the pre-SDCC revelations: Here is the UCS Tumbler (LEGO reference 76023) in version The Dark Knight long-awaited (and hoped for) which will be accompanied by the minifigs of Batman (here in Batman Begins, played on screen by Christian Bale) and the Joker (played by the late Heath Ledger).
What to say ? It is superbly done ...
1869 pieces (40x 15 x 24 cm) - 219.99 € - On sale next September on the LEGO Shop and in the LEGO Stores.
(via USA Today)
Update : The set is online at the LEGO Shop (see product sheet) - Public price FR 219.99 € - On sale from September 1, 2014 (available to members of the VIP program from August 18).
Below is the presentation video of the set.
While we are philosophizing about the possibility of a UCS Tumbler at LEGO, Zack Snyder (the director of the film) just posted a photo of what the new Batmobile from the Batman vs. Superman expected in May 2016 ...
The Tumbler will then take a hell of a life and will be stored in the box "vehicle for nostalgic for a bygone era".
So I'm waiting for early 2016 a minifig of Ben Affleck in the Batman costume and a new generation Batmobile, all in a not too expensive box. By 2016, I'm still expecting a Tumbler, because LEGO owes us that, especially after the infamous versions of the set 76001 The Bat vs Bane: Tumbler Chase and polybag 30300 The Batman Tumbler...
I know ... But we have the right to dream.
Update : Second visual posted by Zack Snyder below.
We also talk about the UCS Tumbler as The BrickShow recently announced as acquired in a video with this image taken from a video sequence dedicated to the movie The LEGO Movie on which we can see the back of a Tumbler on the corner of a table at LEGO.
One thing leading to another, some see the first image of this UCS Tumbler which should be released in 2014. Why not ...
- Steph : Too bad the spider's face is missed otherwise...
- The_SPY : Yes, really too expensive! +1 for Grogu...
- The_SPY : Thank you Chloé for the editing :)...
- Tylar : The Jedi is so successful...
- kurgan seth : Shameful, as said just below. Polybags are valued...
- Tylar : Clearly, beautiful spider...
- Tinatis : As said in the conclusion, best value for money...
- Tinatis : 5 times too expensive, no need to say more....
- Tinatis : Perhaps the best interpretation of Hagrid's hut...
- ASIAMI : After buying a big Lego set, I tell myself every time...
