What if LEGO released a UCS version of the iconic vehicle from The Dark Knight saga, the Tumbler?
It seems that the manufacturer has finally decided, in any case that is what The Brick Show announces in a way that leaves no room for doubt (at 2:25) in his review of the 30300 The Batman Tumbler polybag (video accessible at this address).
We can no longer count the Tumbler MOCs on the internet, in all formats and sizes, until Brent Waller's Cuusoo project which had gathered in 2013 the 10.000 supporters but which had been rejected subsequently.
We are entitled to wonder if this rejection by LEGO of the Brent Waller project has ultimately not a link with the official set which should therefore be released this year.
Vu on eBay, this new polybag stamped DC Comics Super Heroes which contains a Tumbler from the saga The Dark Knight.
The vehicle is quite successful even if we are far from the best achievements of fans on this scale. Other photos are available in the ad posted by the seller.
It will cost you a little less than 15 € postage included to get this bag.
No information on the official distribution of this polybag yet.
Instructions in pdf format can be found at this address.
It took more than a year for Brent Waller's Tumbler reaches 10.000 supporters on Cuusoo. It's done and this long-term project therefore integrates the review phase scheduled for June 2013 during which the LEGO team made up of designers and eminent members of the manufacturer's staff will decide whether or not to produce this magnificent MOC. and possibly to market it in the form of an official set.
I am not convinced that this project will succeed: This MOC dates from 2008, the year of the cinema release of the first opus of Christopher Nolan's trilogy, the instructions have since been provided free of charge by the MOCeur, the saga The Dark Knight will not have more recent cinematographic news by the time LEGO decides to go into production, that is to say in a year at best ... We could find dozens of other reasons why LEGO refuses to produce this Tumbler, moreover, very successful. I introduced you elsewhere in february 2012 on this blog the camouflage version seen in the third episode of the saga.
Obviously, if some LEGO adventure decides to offer us a Tumbler worthy of the name, I will be the first to invest some money to add it to my collection. It would also help me to forget the shapeless vehicle we were treated to at the start of the year in the set. 76001 The Bat vs. Bane - Tumbler Chase...
So let's wish Brent Waller the best of luck and keep our fingers crossed ...
Two little pictures to start the year off right, with these two versions of the Tumbler.
Above, the MOC of Piotr Slezak alias Pitrek02. What can we say except that this interpretation of the Tumbler is rather successful and that the machine can accommodate a minifig. You will have access to other views on his flickr gallery.
Below, a successful style exercise proposed by Padawan Waax on brickpirate : The conversion in black, with 4 wheels at the rear and without the unnecessary flick fire missiles the Tumbler of the set 76001 The Bat vs. Bane - Tumbler Chase.
In black, it would be almost nice this mini-Tumbler ... To discuss in the dedicated topic on the Brickpirate forum.
LEGO would do well to take some seed for its next Advent calendars: It is possible to do beautiful things with few parts.
This micro-tumbler offered by Larry lars is indeed made up of 12 pieces, not one more.
And the result is convincing enough to conclude that with a little imagination, it is possible to offer interesting and above all similar things in the micro format without needing an excessive inventory.
On this Tumbler we will note the judicious use of the part 47501 (Vehicle, Fairing 1 x 2 Stepped with Two Pins) found in some Knights Kingdom II or Aquaraiders II sets.

- Tinatis : Perhaps the best interpretation of Hagrid's hut...
