Another great example of an advertisement extremely well produced and offered by LEGO to promote the LEGO The Hobbit set 79013 Lake Town Chase (470 pieces, 5 minifigs) which is presented here in a real visual context.

I much prefer this cartoon-like environment mixed with real shots of the minifig and set content rather than the "All LEGO"as is the case in The LEGO Movie.

I find that visually more attractive and less "tiring". Obviously, these advertisements and the film do not have the same objectives (although ..) and the film is also and above all a tribute to the work of brickfilms and stop-motion.

It is currently dead calm when it comes to the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit ranges. Indeed, nothing new on the LEGO stand of the last Nuremberg Toy Fair, not even a teasing for the sets to come.

As you can see in the photo above, part of the LEGO stand was dedicated to The Hobbit range but the manufacturer only presented the four The Hobbit sets that we already know: 79011 Dol Guldur Ambush, 79012 Mirwood Elf Army, 79013 Lake Town Chase et 79014 Dol Guldur Battle.

Hopefully we will know more about the next four sets in The Hobbit range (79015. 79016, 79017 and 79018), which does not know much about for the moment, as of February 16: This is the date on which the New York Toy Fair 2014 will open its doors ...

Above a photo of the LEGO The Hobbit 30216 Lake Town Guard polybag posted by a user ofEurobricks, with a magnificent minifigure (identical to that of the set 79013 Lake Town Chase, a catapult and a storage space for the bow and its quiver. Sold for $ 4.99 at Toys R Us in the USA this polybag should soon appear on eBay or Bricklink.

Also take a look at the LEGO The Hobbit poster which will sooner or later have to join my collection. Indeed, posters are the only "derivative products" that I always try to find to add them to my collection.

This poster was inserted in the UK version of the December LEGO Club Magazine. Nothing in the French edition of the magazine.

Another poster visible at this address was distributed in select LEGO Stores during the VIP event just before Brick Friday. It should resurface during another operation, well I hope ...

For the more impatient, an update from the official website dedicated to the LEGO The Hobbit range is underway, with a new look in the colors of the second part of the trilogy, The Desolation of Smaug, and the gradual addition of the new sets of the range whose release date is set for December 1: 79011 Dol Guldur Ambush, 79012 Mirkwood Elf Army, 79013 Lake Town Chase et 79014 Dol Guldur Battle.
