It's German Imperium der Steine forum that we have confirmed the release date of the new LEGO The Hobbit products: This page of the German end-of-year LEGO catalog shows a date set for December 1, 2013 for sets 79012 Mirkwood Elf Army, 79013 Lake Town Chase et 79014 Dol Guldur Battle. The and 79011 Dol Guldur Ambush does not appear on this page, but it should logically be released on the same date.
The prices planned for Germany are displayed, those charged in France should be similar.
Here is another slew of official visuals for the sets of the LEGO The Hobbit range expected at the end of the year: 79011 Dol Guldur Ambush, 79012 Mirwood Elf Army et 79013 Lake Town Chase.
Here is a summary of what we just learned from a serious Eurobricks forumer about three of the four sets in the LEGO The Hobbit range expected by the end of the year ( We already know the set 79013 Lake Town Chase):
79011 Dol Guldur Ambush : This set includes Beorn with an ax and 2 Gunbadad Orcs (with hair) including one equipped with shoulder armor. In the set, a ruin in Dark Gray.
79012 Mirkwood Elf Army : The set includes Thranduil with an armor, crown and a sword identical to that of Aragorn, 2 elves (Dark Green with armor in Brown) equipped with hoods, and an elf with hair (therefore without a hood). Elves have printed shields. A Warg in Dark Brown and 2 orcs (Dark Tan) are in this set.
79014 Dol Guldur Battle : The set includes Gandalf, Radagast (With hat and beard), The Necromancer (Black with a green skull), azog in Tan identical to the exclusive minifig of San Diego Comic Con 2013 and 2 Gunbadad Orcs, different from the orcs we already know and equipped with white war paint. One of these orcs is dressed in shoulder armor, the other is not. No hair on these orcs. In the set, a ruin in Dark Gray with a statue of a woman.
No Bolg in this set wave.
We had already been able to discover the set 79013 Lake Town Chase of the next wave of the LEGO The Hobbit range last July during the San Diego Comic Con : 334 pieces and 5 minifigs (Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield, Bard, The Master of Lake Town and a Lake Town Guard).
Here are the official visuals of this set above and even if the size of the images is modest, we discover the splendid dressing of the boxes of this second wave of The Hobbit sets.
Otherwise, speculation is rife about the content of the other three sets. Someone saw the preliminary images, they were blurry, and he gives some leads:
79011 Dol Guldur Ambush : 3 minifigs including 2 orcs and a red haired soldier (Beorn?), Accompanied by what appears to be a gray "rock".
79012 Mirkwood Elf Army : 442 pieces and 6 minifigs: 2 orcs, 3 elves and a "king" of the elves (Thranduil?). The whole is accompanied by a tree in Tan, Dark Tan et Brown.
79014 Dol Guldur Battle : 6 minifigs and a construction that looks like the door of the set 79007 Battle at the Black Gate : Gandalf is confirmed, the rest is only the fruit of guesses (Radagast, Azog, Bolg, Necromancer, Witch King, etc ...).
On the way for 2 minutes and 23 seconds of splendid images and promising excerpts with this fresh new trailer of the second opus of the trilogy The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (Released in theaters December 11, 2013).
Hopefully LEGO will take the opportunity to present us one or more sets from the next wave of the LEGO The Hobbit range of which we have so far only discovered the set. 79013 Lake Town Chase. We can dream...
