It's confirmed, the VIP customers of the LEGO Shop, that is to say all those who kindly took three minutes to create their free vip account, will be able to order the very (very) expected set 10237 The Tower of Orthanc from June 17, 2013 for the modest sum of € 199.99. Yes, it is the public price, but we cannot have the butter and the money of the butter.
The offer will also be valid in the LEGO Stores on presentation of your VIP card or by harassing the staff present.
I remind you of the principle of the VIP program: 1 VIP point credited for 1 € spent on the LEGO Shop or in a LEGO Store, and 100 VIP points entitle you to a reduction of 5 € to be used on a future purchase. To put it simply, the VIP program allows you to benefit from a 5% reduction on the prices charged by LEGO.

You might as well tell you right away, Michael Price's interview (writer and producer of The Yoda Chronicles mini-saga but also author for The Simpsons, The Padawan Menace and The Empire Strikes Out) published on toonbarn.com does not tell us much new.
Between two evasive responses, we obtain confirmation that the broadcast of the first of the three episodes, entitled The Phantom Clone, will take place on May 29 on the US Cartoon Network channel, that the following two episodes will be broadcast during the year, that a Blu-ray / DVD edition could be released with an exclusive minifigure, but that nothing is is still decided ...
We also learn on Twitter via the account @insidethemagic that the secret (See this article) which is due to be revealed next May 23 in Times Square (New York) and May 29 on Cartoon Network is in fact the largest LEGO model in the world: "... World's largest LEGO model to be displayed in New York's Times Square on May 23 in promotion of LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles ..."
The interview is to read at this address.
The LEGO Star Wars 10225 R2-D2 set released in 2012 is currently on sale on Cdiscount (Click here).
It is certainly not the best price on the market and it is possible to find cheaper at amazon Italy, but it's still more than € 50 discount on the public price charged on the Lego shop (199.99 €) ...
This box of 2127 pieces is in stock at Cdiscount at the time of writing and delivery to Point Relais is free.

An interesting info for our Belgian and border friends: The Belgian brand Dreamland (and in particular the Leers store) offers the DVD version The Empire Strikes Ort without the minifig of Darth Vader proudly displaying his medal, but in bundle with two LEGO Star Wars polybags released in 2013 to choose from: 30243 Umbaran MHC ou 30241 Pre Vizsla's Mandalorian Fighter.
This original alternative to the DVD + minifig version is currently available at the unbeatable price of € 9.90.

It's free from 30 € of purchase and it's always better than nothing: The 30167 Iron Man vs Fighting Drone polybag is offered for any order on the LEGO Shop without range restriction, from May 16 to 31, 2013 ( or while stocks last).
In addition, delivery is free from 55 € of purchase and this until August 31, 2013.
To be honest, I ordered to benefit from this free polybag. I obviously know that it is possible to find the same sets cheaper elsewhere, but I'm a little tired of paying third-party sellers for bags offered by LEGO and getting something free every now and then makes me feel good ...
Small clarification: The minifig of the polybag 30167 Iron Man vs Fighting Drone is not new, it is that of the set 6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape released in 2012.
